My friends and I got to talking about Destiny 2, and if an Ice/Frost based subclass should be added to compliment the already existing elements? I believe so, as water and ice elements are my favorite and so it is for many others. Hopefully this idea can work it's way to Bungie HQ.
I imagine frost spells/supers/grenades freezing opponents, enemy grenades, and even deflecting bullets with frozen barricades. I imagine slowing down opponents with your skills.
Imagine a super where you freeze your opponent? Orgasmic.
Imagine a grenade that launches icicles in every direction?
Imagine throwing an icicle as a melee attack and causing bleeding damage?
Possibilities my friends!
Edit: there is no argument supported by the grimoire which prevents a water element subclass from existing in this sci-fi high fantasy shooter with unlimited potential to evolve and add onto.

If they stick to Light based sources NO.
-
-
I'd rather see a Nuclear/Radiation/Decay class using Green as it's colour.
-
The five elements are. Air water fire earth and the void. Air being ark Fire being solar And void being... Well the void. If you add ice/water add earth too
-
ARC=Lighting VOID= Poison SOLAR=Fire COLD=Ice/Water

lol we're gonna be the next elsa
-
More subclasses using existing elements
-
1 ReplyYou mean frost from warframe
-
2 RepliesGo home Elsa, you're drunk.
-
But Titans already have skating.
-
Yes, Destiny 2 should have an ice subclass
-
I remember hearing that bungie had a 4th element called Decay
-
-
It can't be, the third has to be plasma or it won't make sense.
-
No. Frost is not a kind of "light".. Things like bioluminescence or radioactivity would work.. Frost literally makes zero sense.
-
Sounds cool! I'd love to see something new thrown into destiny
-
Please don't turn this game into overwatch lol. If you guys want healers go play that
-
Don't need more elements. Could double the options per sub or add multiple subs per element, but adding more elements causes issues with needing way to many weapons just to have one of each element.
-
We need a medic. Even if they don't directly offer health to a teammate, they should at least be able to sacrifice their super for a ranged revive. Even transformers has a medic class. They couldn't take a lot of hits, but they could fly (something no other class could do). Then again, every class in that game was more or less a form of support class. It was important to have at least one of every type out on the field: Medic Defensive support Heavy suppressing fire support And the glass cannon scouts Team based power attacks could be interesting, but I doubt anyone in this game would work as a team to do them. Especially if the attack was done at the cost of their super.

Edited by archarmonic: 9/7/2016 5:51:24 PMThey are called elemental but the subclass types are really more energy based than elemental. I think concepts like gravity, magnetism, and maybe even time would be interesting. Edit: I saw somebody else say this and I think it would be interesting and more "mmo" like- a subclass that includes healing or revival abilities could be an interesting dynamic.

1 ReplyI like the idea.... but I would like to see a Healer sub-class A total support class with Healing your team mates by "hitting" them with a grenade! Have grenades that could revive a downed team mate from a distance. Group up your team and cast your Super "on them" which gives them all an over shield, increase health re-gen and grenade and mele power. You could use your mele on a team mate to start health re-gen I like playing a support role and think it could be fun in Destiny.

Let's get a kinetic class lol
-
I think if we get another subclass it should be classes based off of how we harnessed the power of Siva. The red subclass ;)
-
I think they should either make a Darkness Sub Class.. Or a new Darkness Race all together.
-
I mean it's a fantasy game. Yeah it's got some real scientific principles to a point but I mean I think everyone is going too far into it. It's a fantasy game they can do whatever they want lolol. If they wanted a pizza subclass I mean they could. I always thought like it would be cool to have all the elements like wind water earth all that

12 RepliesI'm not really for it, but also not against it. Ice/water is not a form of energy, therefore it wouldn't make sense. I have no problem with it being made but I'd rather have something else, like Fusion energy or whatever they come up with.
