Message told me to 'remove bastets dream emblem'
After months of trying to get to lighthouse, realised that I needed a carry and got first lighthouse trip last weekend. With it came the Bastets Dream emblem. Have had the emblem on since then.
In a match of salvage (yesterdays daily), and got a spanking from a well drilled team. The rest of us were soloing it. I hold my hands up - I had a nightmare.
Post match got a message from an opponent saying "you must of got a carry. remove that emblem'. I didn't respond as I'd more than likely get myself banned. Are destiny players really that salty that they have to send messages like this, even when they win?
I used to draw hate using uni remote, now I can't even wear trials emblems without getting hate mail!

The way I see it is, you paid 60$ for the game and the content in it. And destiny is (almost) fully customizable. Therefore put on what you want. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of your character. Anyone who says its a "crown" or tells you that you don't deserve are sweaty nerds in their mothers basement. Its your character and its your game. Play it how you want. And the real crown in my opinion is the scarab.

I find it hilarious that how parts of this community think that collecting this shit actually means something in real life. It's a game, grow the fck up. Play for fun not for real. And to the guy calling the emblem a 'crown' - there is help out there. People are trained to deal with the crisis you are going through. Just ring 555-WhereDidItAllGoWrong they can help. OP - never remove that emblem.

It's funny how now if you wear the trials emblem people automatically assume you're terrible at PvP because it's only people who get carried that wear it. The emblem that's meant to be for the better PvP players is actually for all of the scrubs.

I don't think it matters....most of the really competitive players don't even use the trials emblems....it's typically like a Y1 basic emblem

I get the sentiment but that's still stupid of them. Their issue is getting attached to a reward that can be acquired through carries in the first place. People need to realize that rewards and stats don't decide how good you are in pvp; your gameplay is what decides how good you are in pvp. Those guys already showcased their skills in that match but focused on how the emblem validated those skills.

It's your game so equip what you want. Each person knows whether or not they "earned" it. Some players received it from a carry and equip it while other players that were carried won't equip it. In the grand scheme of things it isn't something that is worth worrying about. The players that make it on their own merit should remember that an emblem does not make a guardian. If you made it then you can back it up. I understand both points of view but the truth is there are more important things to worry about. One of those is making sure your beer stays in the freezer for the perfect amount of time. It needs to be cold with trace amounts of ice in it, but it can't be too cold or it will begin to overflow. Believe my words when I say trying to play while keeping a beer from spilling onto your chair or floor is a much more important matter than an emblem equipped by a player.

Even if you were carried, you still played in those 9 games right? So you still contributed. Even if you only got one kill to however many deaths. You still played, even if you were really bad or the worst on the team. You being there didn't cause the whole team to lose, so I'd say you have a right to wear what you got from the trip.

Actually you did earn it if you got kills or you revived others then yes you earned it. Don't listen to the ones saying you didn't earn it

3 RepliesYeah I understand your point. But, also there are a lot of dick heads who get carried and think they are good just because they went to the lighthouse. Also it makes you look like a douche cuz think of it this way. The guys that are good pretty much did all the hard work for ya. And at the end they have to share the glory with you the guy that just sits there looking pretty. Just like in highschool when ever group projects were assigned there was always this group where you the hardworking guy doing pretty much everything and the other guy just being there for moral support. It is not fair to be sharing the credit with others who literally didn't do anything for it.

... so much hate over an emblem and i can't even get carried if i tried... srsly i always get lagged out in some way to get me a loss, or we get some mlg pros twice in a row on the 9th. i don't want the emblem don't get me wrong i want the grimoire card so i have it, if you can get me to the lighthouse ill promise i won't use the kitty emblem because i like the MoT one more and i like the FWC one too. if anyone does want to get me the grimoire, i can't this week but next week would be fine. hope you all have a nice day *fluffs away*

I've accepted that some people no matter how much they try will never be as good as others. as long as you put in a decent effort before being carried I don't think it's a big deal

7 RepliesI am about as levelheaded and reasonable person you are going to find. That said, I was taught that things you did not earn you do not deserve. People who get carried make me sad because it takes way from the value and pride of going flawless. Not like I can make you take it off, but as of right now you don't deserve the emblem. Go out and practice get a good team and go there yourself. Then you will not only deserve the emblem but have the pride of making it there yourself.

3 RepliesI was once messaged in the tower by another guardian during vanilla destiny, to take off my shader because double banshee blue is a disgrace to warlocks everywhere. I responded with "ok?", then didn't take it off until HOW dropped. Wear that emblem proud guardian😌
