I hate to be a "thorn" in your side bungie
But I want my thorn back
I know this weapon has always and will always be the bane of some guardians existence but that's besides the fact
The last word and the thorns story make them both major parts of destiny's lore yet one was brought to year 2 and the other not and for the salty haters and anyone else who says it's op yada Yada it's honestly not anymore yes it has a dot but if you'd get good you'd be able to challenge it and strive ahead if the last word and bad juju can have year 2 after being nerfed to near none existence there's no reason a year 2 thorn isn't possible and of course now the praised gjally returning for rise of iron ? You mean the rocket launcher that there was no and I mean absolutely no possible escape from in crucible ? Not to mention the Mida multi scrub true I have 1 but I dont use it because it's stability and rof make it a damn death laser there's no challenge with these weapons the thorn even as an exotic required a skilled hand and patience as a avid hand cannon user the thorn was in a world of its own performance wise and astheticaly speaking there's nothing remotely near it and amidst all these patches and crying of nerfs required the thorn continues to be ignored I can't be the only person who thinks this can I ?
Anyone else share my opinion ?

If anything make it do DoT on headshots to guardians, but do DoT on any shot to minions of the darkness

2 RepliesThorn has ridiculous base stats and dot. The sights are easy You don't even have to try to kill your target bc you just body em 3 times. It would be cool to have it back. But DoT on command doesn't really work when attached to something that can be spammed. On grenades? Ok On melee? Ok You don't get melee'd or pelted with a grenade every time you die.

8 RepliesI don't mean to be rude but you're fooling yourself if you think MIDA is a crutch weapon but the Thorn isn't. "Just challenge me it's not that hard" you say, as you rapidly three tap everyone to the body. I think it is a very interesting weapon and I would love to see its lore expanded upon, and I'd hate to see something so unique left behind permanently, but it needs a complete redesign before it's brought forward to current levels.
