How do you NOT have a mic???? Pls explain
How do people keep saying
"I do not raid because I dont have a mic?"
"I dont do ToO because I dont have a mic?"
"Please add matchmaking because I dont have a mic"
"Im a solo player because I dont have a mic"
How do you still dont have a mic and still play this game??
Edit: You can buy one for 5 dollars. The ps4 and xbone come with a free mic. You can also get a mic for free on airplanes.

Well for the longest time I never used a mic just because I'm a silent player, and do most of my stuff solo. But when I did Kings Fall with a mic, that was one of my most memorable moments in Destiny. I've done the other raids, but with no mic, I just knew what I was doing. I encourage an shy guardian to give the mic a try, because I still play with some of those guardians to this day and have met a lot of cool people through ToO and had a lot of great experiences. That's what makes this game so great, is finding new friends.

Not everybody thinks she quick as others do, maybe patience with these people would encourage more people to use mics . Hell you can use your smartphone headphones just needs people to stop being abusive, and remember what they were like when they started playing the game. We are not all superstars playing destiny , I find the lack of tolerance is the biggest put off for using mics.

3 RepliesHave a mic, just don't use it. I can only game when my wife's asleep, and let's just say that my house is so damn quiet, you could hear a mouse fart in the next room. She used to complain about the noise of the damn joysticks and hard button presses, I don't know what she would do if I started chatting in game.

2 RepliesEdited by Master Ives: 7/26/2016 1:44:01 PMWhile you usually can buy a third-party mic for far less than the official ones, I know for a fact that Microsoft still manages to get you to pay $30 for a 3.5mm headset jack adapter since they removed the headset jack from all of their newer controllers. If you do decide to go that route, I'd recommend paying an extra $10 for the chat pad accessory instead since it's only $40 and has an integrated 3.5mm headset jack in addition to the keyboard and hotkeys.

Legally deaf. People with $5 headsets are terrible for me. They are so quiet. My brother is the only one I can hear consistently in chat.

Why do [i]you[/i] care so much? So what if someone doesn't have a mic, just don't play with them. I only use my mic when it's 100% necessary. I don't use it for nightfalls, I barely use it for raids, I barely use it for ToO. Some people have different forms of anxiety and aren't comfortable talking to strangers. So, so what if they say they don't raid because of that? Why tf do you care so much you have to make a thread about it?
