Titan Shield - "The Aegis of Six Fronts"
Hexagonal shield with Mark of Six fronts decorative marking. Can be used as a melee weapon (like a sword) and can also charge bash similar suncharge and does solar damage, can be smashed into the ground like a mini FoH and does Arc damage or can create a wall (not a bubble) of void that you and your fireteam can shelter behind but cant shoot through. This represents all the Titans who fought in the Battle of Six fronts.
Warlock Staff - "The Staff of Osiris"
Bird Headed staff (egyptian theme) can be used as a melee weapon (like a sword) can fire homing fireballs, can be slammed into the ground to push back all enemies and does solar damage or can be used to channel power from the warlock to buff his teamates in a weapons of light style buff and gives their weapons solar damage (warlock is frozen in place during channelling).
Hunter whip - "The Whip of Dredgen Yor"
Whip that is aesthetically similar to "Thorn" with barbed Thorns all along its length. Can be used as a melee weapon (like a sword). Can be used to grapple onto opponents or ledges which the Hunter is then pulled towards quickly closing distance or gaining a height advantage. Can do a sweeping 360 AoE around the hunter damaging and briefly poisioning all surrounding enemies (would look like a rythmic gymast spinning with a ribbon but cooler). Can be flourished in front of the Hunter blocking projectiles and sending them back to the where the hunter is aiming (yes totally stolen from Genji)
Edit - I had a rethink of the whip. Rather than the deflecting flourish (which I just ripped off from Overwatch) the ability could be to create a cloud of smoke (just visual effect no damage) and do an elongated shadestep away at the same time. This way you can grapple in, deal some damage, and shadestep safely away leaving confused enemies. I think this is more in fitting with the Hunter playstyle and would synergise better with the other perks.
I havent thought overly long about this and I know that each of these could be game breaking or OP and I'm not even sure it properly works with the lore (was Osiris a Sunsinger?) but I just thought it was kinda cool and thought I would share.
TL.,DR - Each class has its own unique new melee weapon with perks inspired by lore

I Think that we should go with a large solar sword similar to the buster sword from FF, symbolizing the strength of titans. While hunters have an arc spear, symbolizing their precision and tactical ability seeing it can be used as a melee and ranged weapon. Last but not least I feel a void glaive would be best for a warlock, the majestic styling of the guardians but being imbued with a large amount of hidden power, with also a possible transformation trough the almighty "space magic" for a throwing style glaive. for idle animations i feel the sword would rest on the titans shoulder, the spear would be carried under shoulder , and the glaive would be stylishly dragged from behind by the pole.

Tl;Dr : nerf fusion rilfes?

Really cool ideas, however, they have way to many OP abilities. Treat them like the swords, can be swing like a melee, have two other abilities. One that does an aggressive effect, one defensive. Example: The shield. Can block All damage and maybe the charging ability. When you get carried away with awesome sounding ideas, you forget the practicality of the item.

Cool ideas they all seem extremely op though
-
Yeah that would be cool.

If they had the burn of whatever subclass you're using. Bow & Arrow for hunter, giant Maul for Titans, idk about warlocks though.

Titan and Warlock ideas are pretty good. Well done. However the Hunter idea isn't great. Why not give the Hunter a dagger? Perhaps dual daggers? Maybe a Tomahawk? Tomahawk and a dagger? Think these are suited more to hunters/rogues/assassins...

2 RepliesAs usual with these fan-made "improvement" ideas I went in skeptical. But then I'm reading about this cool idea for a Titan shield like the VoG relic and I'm thinkin, "Hey... This is actually good". So I keep going and the warlock staff is a great idea, I'm getting excited and feeling liTHEN WHIP

What about a exo skeleton class item for the titan that let's him res. "Reboot" when he dies. A class orb that let's the warlock shadestep and some sort off dagger class item that let's the hunter blink forward with a melee lunge like a shoulder charge, but like the genji strike if anyone plays overwatch. Then nobody can complain about there main not being able to do something another class can do and you have the availability to do so if you choose.

I was thinking that they shouldn't add new weapon types so give Titans a class specific launcher because of the taikonaut helmet, give hunters a class specific sword since they have the most agility, and the machine gun to the warlock and there's no specific reason for that it's just that warlocks really are the most versatile character they have just the right amount of agility combined with just the right amount of damage resistance, so when ppl say they're op it's really just the misunderstanding of how well balanced they are in the game

1 ReplyI would say don't make class specific heavies, because one is always going to be more useful than the others for raids, and that'd add a whole other level of elitism. It'd be like gjallarhorn, except 2/3 of the playerbase could not get it at all on their mains.

4 RepliesA whip? Hunters are stealth-based killers, not kinky dominatrixes.

1 ReplyHis name was Robert Paulson

Cabal Shield. Ammo count could be amounts of blocks and shield blast.

Bungie hire this man
-
Hunters would be better suited with another bow that does similar damage like a low rof machine gun

*begins reading... In mind: Oh this is cool ... Ohhhh this idea is also pretty cool... Wait, what is this... WAIT! A WHIP. WHYYYYYYYY WORLD! WHYYYYYYYY
like everything but whip
These ideas are too cool and fun for actibungie

Edited by Alley: 7/15/2016 3:33:44 AMWhat about Titans get a sword and shield? Less range and lunge than a sword, same attack rate, but takes 2 hits to kill, BUT also has far superior defence when blocking.

Whoa, a good Titan exotic weapon
bump
I can dig it, bump.

Book of toland.

Enough class specifics. I hate the idea of separating things so only one class can use them.
