The knife, when used properly, is intended to finish off your victim from a distance. It's a last resort when you empty your mag. No other class has that... now do they?

A last resort? It requires a charge and doesnt ohk...being adaptive has made it true but a punch in the face or open palm smack should deal more damage that a knife flung at ur head? ...i agree a body shot should not kill...but for as many times as iv stuck my own teammates in the back of the head it never gets easier to look at a knife in someones skull and think hey! I knew you'd survive! But rushing shoulder or knee first is an acceptable way to ohk? Lmao

You missed my point, you wound your victim with your gun, run out of ammo, then knife them. Dead. It's quicker to knife then to reload.

  • I do understand that logic... It just confuses me that punches and palms= more pain than a knife to the head...

  • it does more damage than a hand cannon to the head. So, stfu.

  • Your point being? (invalid) We are talking abkut melees... And you talk hand cannons...which still is false...a first curse shot deals more damage than a knife without the flame perk... The logic your bringing to the table is sensless and you come out of character wit stfu...great wits about u m8 verrry clever "stfu=nothing substantial left to say"

So you think it okay to compare the knife throw to melees, but not to bullets? That's dumb. The throwing knife is a melee charge, but only an idiot thinks it's actually a melee.

That's because it is the melee when charged. You use it once and need to wait like all the others. Even shoulder charge has a charge time, albeit a very short one and still uses the melee button on the controller.

  • All classes have unique abilities... Gunslinger happens to throw a knife. I didn't make the rules. What other class has a projectile melee? Is that fair? Deal with it... adapt.

  • I adapted with it just fine, I'm just trying to figure out what makes sense to you. Yes, it's got the longest range of melee but it's not a guaranteed hit and nor was it ever a guaranteed OHK on contact, even as a crit. Regardless of if you hit your target though, it still takes the melee charge. All other melees actually need to contact to use the charge, and warlocks have the farthest reach out of all classes without worrying of a miss taking their charge. I don't see the unfairness in it that you do.

Your telling me that the creators of destiny made a charged melee for the hunter and said "this is only for when they run out of ammo" And your logic is impaired. Your saying that a titan and warlock can run around and use their charged melee and we have to wait for a specific scenario to use ours? And that's why it was nerfed right?? Because we abused our throwing knife. But something like a shouldercrutch, which is used for mobility and OHK is fine where its at??? I think you sir need to "stfu"

  • It's the only projectile "melee"... if you want to use it like a melee then you should be in melee range. I think it's quite fair to get a nerf since you have the advantage of range. STFU scrub... you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA The advantage of range? The difficulties of range. We can waste or melee charge easily with a miss. While a "titan lord" "pathetic" skates in and uses shouldercrutch + melee charge + brokenshotgun and then fist o panic. Your right though, throwing knives were ruining your crucible experience with their overpowered ease of use.... Scruby dub dub kinderguardian

  • So first you claim to compare only "melees" and now you are adding shoulder charge to the mix. LOL... I'll wait until you get your facts straight. As of now, you're spinning out of control. See ya.

  • Lol so what is shoulder crutch then? Because im confused on what you think it is. It is a melee option, its a charged melee for free. And how many times have you died to a throwing knife from further than a shotgun range??? 90% of huntards using throwing knife can't get kills with it. It takes time to learn how to use it, unlike shouldercrutch.

  • SC is a melee... It literally says it's a melee in the description. You also get points for a melee kill when you use it.
