Mayhem Clash + Sniper = WTF
Not aiming this at every sniper because I've seen some awesome snipers who run round Mayhem Clash with a sniper the same as I do with a Scout or Auto, but if you are going to hide on the outskirts of the map and worry about your precious K/D then don't play Mayhem.
It is one of the most enjoyable crucible modes where everyone runs round like idiots having a great time so why not get your heads out of your backsides and enjoy yourselves.

Just for the few who are salty about this and missed the point or think I should git gud.
I am not telling anyone how to play, I am just saying that I don't understand why people can't forget the safety of their normal META and have fun for a while.
As to getting good, I am 57 never played online shooter or multiplayer before destiny and I have played destiny rom year 1 on xbox but now on PS.
I constantly rebuild new characters and run a different load out every time just to try new things.
In the past 3.5 days I levelled 1 character from 0 to 40 and a second character from 0 to 31 and all my characters have a positive K/D.
In some peoples eyes I may need to git gud but I think I do OK

Agreed. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/208817502?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 I carry a sniper in Mayhem myself for those brief periods when I don't have my own super and some hammerbro is lumbering towards me, so using a sniper itself isn't a big deal (nor is it hard to counter with constant nades and supers available) but I just don't get the people who camp out in some remote corner of the map to snipe. I don't see how that's "good practice" for regular modes, and it sure as hell isn't in the spirit of the game mode, it's just lazy campy bullshit. Go slow the game down to a crawl somewhere else.

I usually go into load outs app and pick a few guns and just have fun. and I have a positive kd, not great but not bad, so I have no reason to believe there is a meta, because nothing is overpowering everything else. only thing I never use is,,,, [i]shotguns[/i]

Personally I can't even use my sniper in mayhem all there is Titans most of the time. Every single one using bubbles.

3 RepliesJust because someone is sniping doesn't mean they're playing serious. Some people, like myself, snipe for fun and honestly mayhem is the best place to go for practicing super shutdowns.

Only seen maybe a couple of snipers. Mostly see people running around with shotguns most of the time and popping supers left and right. So yeah I agree I couldn't understand why people would hide in corner like usual and play sniper on mayhem clash. Mayhem clash is a playlist where it's more enjoyable to just have fun and run around like an idiot. Besides if those few care so much about their kd i doubt it will change much if at all. Not that hard to atleast have a positive kd

Edited by later: 7/11/2016 5:17:15 PMThere is a good chance that these people are finishing the shin dig in the crucible quest with the last word. Even if you came out with 60 kills, if you had 60 deaths you would actually lose progress on this quest. This quest is all about k/d and if you don't have at least 1.5 in the match, then you just wasted your time lol this is not how i finished it myself but for some people TLW just doesn't work for them. Mayhem is pretty much the only ceucible type you can do it in too, hence "shindig" in the crucible quest

Makes me CRINGE watching people sit on their supers and try to hide and snipe in Mayhem. That's how truly trash and -blam!-ed up the mentality of the sniper kids is.

Universal Remote and Party Crasher layout for this. Lol, jokes but imagine that!? Only sniper that should be used in this mode is No Land Beyond!

yeah i tend to run a sniper on mayhem matches with large maps such as crossroads but i don't hang back with it, i kill hardscopers with it then run round grenading all the things and finishing them with my handcannon
