Whilst I do love a bit of Iron Banner basically I'm a PvE kinda guy.
I admire the skill of some of the PvP players enormously, especially the streams I've watched of some the Trials players.
I've really enjoyed Destiny & I am a confirmed Desticle!
But I have been baffled by Bungies insistance in continually trying to force PvE players to play in the Crucible.
I despaired then when I saw the Mountain Top Quest appear in the MoT scorecard.
No Triumph for me then.
And no...
I don't wanna get good either.
Edit 1: At no point do I say anything about hating the Crucible. I just find it a bit boring & not essential to the game.
Edit 2: lots of people asking why I would buy a game & then not play half of it?
Lol... Crucible is 1% of the game.
Edit 3: Keep being told to "stop whining kid"... probably by some 400 pound overpriviliged 24 year old with no job living in his mom's basement.
I'm 46 and work in the city & have a family too.

2 RepliesBungie punishes PvE players... So in your words they benfit PvP players Because they have ONE -blam!-ing part of the MoT???
-
Still ain't figured out mountaintop quest...not a crucible player either....
-
1 ReplyEdited by Conway: 7/8/2016 6:10:20 PMI deleted it in October, never put any thought into it, until now, but I also have McDonalds wifi, so RIP. But I do agree that the Triumphs should have a PvP element, and in my opinion it should've been go flawless, but whatever

Stop whining old man
-
"not essential to the game" And with this logic, 2 shaders and 2 emblems apply, which is probably why people are giving grief.
-
1 ReplyIt's one quest line. It's the only element that requires PvP. You have two and a half months to do what the rest of us PvE mostly players will do, grind it out and get it done. Year one moments of triumph had a PvP element as well. It's a part of the game and has a small place in the moments of triumph as a result. If you don't want to do it then it is your own fault, not Bungie's.

Edited by Church: 7/8/2016 6:07:10 PMGET GOOD.... oh wait
i don't understand why everyone is getting their panties in a twist about this. You aren't asking to nerf snipers for -blam!-s sake
-
It forces pvp players to do pve, but do you see us complaining? No.
-
It's not like you have to quickscope 360 fakie fakie ladderstall someone in the crucible.
-
1/8 triumphs are to do with crucible (2 if your counting that one part in the sword quest)
why have I not seen any pvp players complain about the 7/8 triumphs that are pve related?
-
2 RepliesIt's not that we are being forced to play pvp but it is very inconsiderate to the pve players. There should be an alternative to the pvp challenge. Bungie caters to the pvp community far too much.
-
Bro. They made it less painful. I did it before they changed it and I wanted to die, now it's a walk in a park.
-
2 RepliesIt's the same argument for PvP only players and the calcified fragments. If you or anyone can't be bothered to play the entire game, you aren't worthy of the Moments of Triumph. It's seriously not hard. My Aussie friend did it and his kd is probably .4
-
I'm right there with ya bud. I only do IB or special events in PvP. I didn't get MoT year 1 and won't get it for year 2. I guess I don't get to buy a t shirt. *shrugs*
-
I play far more PvE than PvP too. However, I'll probably complete the Crucible quest but not find all 50 fragments.
-
PvP is just as much a part of this game as PvE. MoT is for those that want to experience ALL that Destiny has to offer. Even with the god awful length of the quest, it's infinitely easier to complete now that it isn't hinged on winning. Y1 MoT required 100 Crucible wins. How was that easier? If you only want to experience half the game, then that is your prerogative. That doesn't give you the right to bitch about it, though. You're making an active decision to NOT play PvP. That's on you, not Bungie. This is also the exact opposite of the way a 46 year old should act about a video game.
-
You've logged around 1900 hours on Destiny. It would take a couple hours, 5 tops, to complete "The mountaintop". There's your <1%. I'm 44, and to me, you sound like a spoiled kid. Stop whining, and just do it.
-
2 RepliesIn year one you had to win 100 matches. That takes quite a bit of time. The quest can be completed in a day if you try. Stop whining.
-
I'm not good at pvp, I play pve mostly. I was able to finish the PvP quest line in 2 days with the help of 2 friends. PvP players are being forced into pve as well if they want the MoT. Year 1 had the same type set up to complete the MoT. Just grab 2 friends and knock it out easily. If I can do it anyone else can! Coming from a PvP scrub!
-
No one forces you to complete it. It's just there to show you what parts of the game you don't like to play. I haven't killed Oryx in hard nor I think about trying it. No triumph for me either. I don't care. I enjoy the parts of the game I like to play. That's enough for me.
-
Easy quest, but it takes a little bit to complete. Push through it.
-
I don't see it as a punishment for PvE players. The mountaintop quest is only one of the requirements for MoT - the majority are PvE accomplishments. And the achievement represents having some measure of success at all the things the game has to offer. Also slightly irrelevant as a point, but the mountaintop quest has been made a lot easier than it was originally.
-
No mot for me too lol I'm to -blam!-ing lazy too look for the fragments Eris can get of her fat ass and find them Oryx is a pointless waste of energy you get grouped up with people what kno nothing
-
I'm not a fan of the pvp aspect but that quest is extremely easy to do. You can get majority of that quest done in less then a week.
-
That's a ridiculous quest to make pve players go through. You'll -blam!-ing hate Crucible by the end of it.
-
The Crucible questlone isn't hard. At all. It literally has nothing to do with "getting good" or having to be a "tryhard," you're just a lazy adult making excuses. For the record, my best friend has two kids and works most of the week on the road. He MAYBE plays Destiny for a couple hours a week, and he finished the questline months ago (without my help mind you, I was actually impressed). Just stop complaining and do it. Hell, you don't even have to win for most of the questline.
