Nerf Titan Strike

Why should a strike on the ground be able to hit someone flying above them? you seriously have no vertical damage drop off? that's just stupid. Reduce the vertical damage range, add a decent drop off or just make it a dome. Don't be idiots.

  • As a Titan main, I have to agree with the OP - FoH needs greater vertical damage drop-off in order for it to be balanced. I've been killed in this manner too many times for it to be a minor issue..it doesn't work like a sphere (which implies an equal measurement), it works more like a vertically-biased oval.

    I agree with this, but only too a certain extent. It should be a dome, and it should have damage fall off, but to compensate, it should show a massive sonic boom that pushes players that aren't in kill range back a ways. It would be a three phase super. Kill radius: 5 meter radius (10 meter diameter) Push back radius: 6 meters to the 10 meter radius. The closer you are to the kill zone without actually being in it, the harder and faster your pushed back, potentially killing you if you hit an obstacle. Flinch radius: this is a pressure zone that merely moves your screen around and throws your aim off, and that would be the ass end of 10 meters to 12. With this, the fist of havoc gets a larger range of effect, holds the same kill potentials, does more, it's just not always going to kill outside of a certain range. This isn't a nerf. It's more a buff than anything.

      • The lack of vertical damage drop off with FoH is annoying to try to fight against in PvP. As a Warlock I've been OHK'd as high as 50 feet in the air above a Titan Smash.

        Why should it not hit enemies in the air? 1. Get a shovel 2. Dig and make a hole 3. Put a nuclear device OR some sort of explosive like c4 in the ground and time it 4. Now cover it up with dirt and close the hole 5. Now stand ABOVE it and wait till the timer ends.... If u survived that and you still got all your limbs type in this message: "i made it so it needs to be nerfed" ....only then will i agree with your comment about flying above fist of havoc shouldn't cause damage/death!

        • Hey, next time a fist of havoc happens, watch the sky. You'll see a crack of lightning come down from the sky and hit the titan. If you want little upwards damage, change landflal to requiring you to be doube the height of a player and must be near direct impact to kill. Sick of watching them jump next to me and landfall killing me. [spoiler]warlocks cant complain about any super when they have two of the best subclasses now.stormcaller and voidwalker are crazy powerful. Nova bomb+lance hits 1249 on near hits, and has a massive phantom range now that makes it able to nuke spawns to kill.[/spoiler]

        • I've said this is one of my gripes before, but I have learned to live with it. It's a giant pressure wave. The problem is, it doesn't seem to actually work as a dome, more of a column. As a Hunter main, I feel like it's in a good spot. It definitely needed to damage buff for PvE and honestly, if someone kills me with FoH, I just say "dammit" and move on.

          • I agree it's pretty far range but that slam with massive AoE is the super.... That's it.... No Terry's if you miss, no after affects that really do much, more or less just the boom don't be there or go there for a few seconds. And isn't it supposed to be a lightning strike? So it should have insane vertical damage should it not?

            • The grimiore card for fist of havoc says: "Obliterating everything nearby" Obliterate-destroy utterly; wipe out. Nearby-close at hand; not far away. Now I don't know how high above the smash you were, and truth is you're probably exaggerating. But the super is working as intended from a grimiore and lore perspective.
