Please Bungie, for the love of god, make this a setting. I am so god damn sick of trying to shoot someone, only to die because instead of shooting the enemy who is killing me, my aim constantly shifts to whatever enemy is moving the most.
People in Crucible are literally using this as a tactic, people will snipe while someone just runs circles behind them, because it FORCES us to aim at the guy running, meaning we cant shoot the people that are killing us.
Same with PVE, you try to shoot the sniper, or the captain, or just whatever enemy is most likely to kill you, but oh no, a group of weak enemies are running behind him, so your guns forces itself to follow them, and you miss your shot, and die.
LET. US. DISABLE. AUTO. AIM.

10 RepliesEdited by BRAZACK: 7/1/2016 8:16:21 AMYep, another thing is snipers abuse the crap outa this. If you give the analog stick a quick nudge it auto locks on peoples head. Idk how to do it nor do i care for it but the tryhard snipers depend on this shit. Its their bread and butter, they know how to intentionally trigger this auto aim crap by nudging the analog sticks. Bungie nerfed sniper range and optics but they really should have fixed this instead. Most of the sniper montages are of people abusing the auto aim/auto correcting bullshit. Im not sayin all snipers do this but a vast majority abuse it. I used to snipe in battlefield so ofc i dont depend on this crutch. I manually aim and like op says sometimes the auto aim gets me killed. I would be trying to counter snipe, i would be lined up perfectlt on the other sniper's head and right b4 i pull the trigger his teammate runs past my scope(field of vision). The auto aim starts to follow him instead. When that auto tracking crap kicks in it always locks onto their head but i dont depend on that crap.

Lol ive seen that too But YES PLEASE!
-
This would be amazing! I always disable auto aim on other games. Auto aim always seems to move your aim from the guy you're shooting at and moves it between him and some other moron. Please Bungie make this a thing!

2 RepliesDo you mean when the scope drags away from the enemy you're firing at after another enemy walks infront of the scope? Yeah that shit has cost me quite a few kills.
-
1 Replyu know pretty much every console fps game u play has auto aim.
-
YES!!! I cannot agree with this more. I love a challenge of doing the aiming myself, not the -blam!-ing game. Please bungie, let us turn this off

3 Repliesno...fix matchmaking and the lag first.

1 ReplyIf you are struggling to hit things with auto-aim, I can guarantee that you would not hit anything if there were no auto-aim. The problem that you have, is that you are an incessant hardscoper. I used to suffer from the same issues many years ago (during my former CoD career). To remedy the problem, I changed the way that I played the game, and do you know what? The issues that you talk about, are not an issue any more. So, to fix your Junior hardscoping abilities, only scope in when you need to, and flow with the aim assist rather than fight against it. Learning how to flow with the aim assist, is actually a fundamental building block of snapping, and snapping is an advanced aiming technique.

A wet dream for all Xim4 users
-
It's not possible in this game. It's built into the game engine.
-
Agreed
-
Agreed bump I hate how sometime people are smart enough to run across there friends just before I kill them so my tracking switches to them and there friend gets saved it not fun.
-
It's baked into the games engine. A toggle switch for it isn't going to be a possibly in this game.
