We've seen the common suggestion that we could just add more power to the less successful Classes. Our concern is that this would eventually make the game way too lethal and chaotic overall. We want you to feel powerful when you're playing Destiny. At the same time, we want to make sure that you still have the time you need to react and make tactical decisions when you are engaged in combat.
Bungie... I DON'T feel powerful. Last time I really felt powerful was back in Year One when I used my Gjallerhorn to melt the story Skolas in three shots. THAT was the last time I felt powerful in this game. Last time before that was when Hand Cannons packed a real whallop and perks felt to me like they meant something,.
Now a lot of people would say these were OP. Yeah, I guess so. But it was the last time I personally felt powerful. My Year 2 Void Bow never felt powerful to me, even at it's hieght. My hand cannons feel like peashooters and my rockets feel weak.
But I'm not here to talk about OP vs UP or PVP vs PVE or anything like that.
Instead I want to ask you all a question:
When was the last time YOU felt Powerful? Why is that?

CoE grenade week, voidwalker warlock with nothing manacles = power! 45,000 points solo with ease.

I don't know about powerful. But the last time I felt like I had become legend was when I ran vault of glass and got both the Praetorian Foil and Praedyths Timepiece in the same run. My team mates were jelly, well a few were, and they all kept talking about how the RNG gods were with me, that I was their prophet and how I would eventually lead them to victory and heavenly loot haha.

Last night when I was playing.
-
When I ran fatebringer black hammer and gally

Never because of PvP all supers and abilities in destiny are watered down so they can't be too "OP" I mean Nova bomb doesn't even have a gravity effect that pulls enemies in...that's just logical. All abilities are pussied down for the stupid PVP players. Oh what the game could be.

During HoW

Original Titan Hammers.
-
When I dodged a tether with Suncharge in Trials, and wiped the enemy team.
-
The last and only time my Titan felt really powerful was OG sunbreaker
-
Today. Sorry that you guys can't one shot people anymore with character builds. I'll just sit over here with my warlock feeling Better than ever because I can go into a match and not have to worry about sunbrakers or Grenade spaming hunter's. Git gud scrubs

Edited by TwoMagsGone: 6/25/2016 4:23:01 PMThe first time I got a PHANTOM medal in Rumble, running a Striker titan with Juggernaut, deflecting sniper shots and taking out fools with my fists. And again when I got another phantom as my Voidwalker using The First Curse and Deidris's Retort, blinking away from incoming supers and Shoulder Charges.

1 ReplyI will be powerful post September 20th, until I'm made a requirement for the raid, then I'll be nerfed like my white and gold brethren 😔

Edited by Sideswipe: 6/25/2016 3:35:33 PMWhat makes me feel "powerful" has less to do with weapons or gear and more with being skillful and/or wrecking. I'm not great at PvP, so when I went 17-3 the other night, I felt powerful because I exerting my will upon others, as some feel when they used Gally or FB. Or recently when I finally managed to find some decent LFGers and made it through KF all the way to Oryx with only 2 wipes. That to me, is power - not just an OP gun...

I ALWAYS FEEL POWERFUL

When tripmines actually had a higher chance to kill, and throwing knives dealt better damage

Last week Killing the nameless king... Honestly I never feel powerful in Destiny, except during the omnigal nightfall, as a Hunter. They just never felt powerful. I've been playing as a titan recently, and have in the past used my warlock and they feel powerful. Melting 20 enemies with stormtrance, or one sitting a taken captain with my flying knee, that makes me feel powerful. Not, hold up guys let me equip an exotic so I can actually kill something...

2 RepliesThe last time I ever felt powerful was after 6 cans of Red bull, 2 cans of monster, and 125 hours worth of 5 hour energy.
-
Running the heroic playlist last night with blade dancer and arc burn... Felt pretty powerful

Damn Greg. Back at it again with the peg legs!
