Rise of Iron Complaint
Bump so us last gen players can get rise of iron. Many people don't have the money to buy a next gen console considering how much they cost. I bought a PS3 just for destiny and I want to follow the story completing everything including the raid. I was planning on buying rise of iron but once I found out that it was only on next gen I was devastated. I was also ready to pay an extra $200 just to get it on last gen. In my opinion bungie should make it for last gen. And those people like me who bought a PS3 just for destiny should deserve to buy these expansions. I have also been paying you by buying tons of silver and I have been let down I am sorry but this was a terrible financial drop for you guys.

3 RepliesI suggest watching fireteam chat with Deej and someone else. They said that they would have to take things away from last gen, like story missions, strikes, and zones. Last gen is maxed out already, it isn't fair to hold back more capable systems and release content that isn't what bungie would like to create. Bungie can now use better textures, better animations, make bigger areas, push content updates and patches faster and at less cost.

You don't deserve anything. You've had 3 years to upgrade. If you've got the money to talk about throwing down 200$ like its nothing and have spent lots of money on silver then you should have the money to get it on next gen. Me and my family are below the poverty line and I can still manage to get ahold of a new system every few years along with a few games each year or a game and some dlc. You really don't have an excuse unless you are homeless.

You're willing to spend $200 extra, when you can save that money and get a PS4.. Do you still use VHS Tapes? Save all the money you spend on silver, get a ps4 and get your character transferred. Stop recommending no progress for Destiny because of last gen.

No just no. Its well past time for companies to move on from past gen. They are on life support at this point just pull the plug and stop supporting them. The tech is 10 years old atleast, current gen have been out for 3 years almost. You can save money I did it even paying all the bills and supporting two children as a single father.

Last gen only represents 10% of player base. Old gen is being phased out, this is the normal course of things for the game to evolve and take advantage of newer technology. If old gen represented a larger percentage I'm sure Bungle would have delayed it a little longer but not by much.

It's not a let down dude it's a move they need to do, Xbox are already bringing a new Xbox one out with 4 k and VR next year! The old consoles are over 10 years old and with Destiny looking like it might be around for another 8 years they might get left behind if they leave it limited with old gen. It's sh1t I know but it's how it is!

1 ReplyI felt the same way when all the networks whet digital. Had to trash two perfectly good analog TVs. After seeing the picture quality on my new Digital flat screen TV, wow! Yes it cost a few bucks but man it was worth it. I'm looking forward to the new 4K Xbox one. I'll have to buy a 4K TV too. That's Technology for you.

For those that are unaware, it runs fluid, alot less lag on NO WAITING in menu screen! Which made me crazy in CE raid. It's like saying i still love my iphone 4!! Or please don't make me give up my Ice Cream Sandwich O/S! But technology is moving along pretty quickly lately and the hardware can't handle the new software. I bet RoI will be on a new engine that will make juggling two consoles far easier then four. That's probably why ToO is part of the long list of issues on this patchy near-corrupted engine we're currently on. Their is an expense of course but if you're gonna game, why not move up to current gen?? You didn't really expect the 10 yr plan on PS3 /360, did you? 0_o. Everyone new of this plan going into the Destiny Universe.

It is physically impossible for them to bring ROI to old gen. It wasn't that they thought yous didn't deserve it is is the fact that without removing content from the base game there isn't enough space to hold anymore. And instead of removing stuff from the base game they decided to just go with curent gen instead. Your console is 10+ years old i know it sucks but it just isn't possible for them to support it for future expansions.
