Shotguns have been repeatedly nerfed. They are a lot less powerful than in year 1. It's just that snipers have also been nerfed.

If you are getting destroyed by shotguns in a match, hang back and give yourself plenty of room to shut them down if they start running at you. You are the problem not a particular weapon! Learn to play smarter instead of having a cry about it on the forums.

Yet people still enjoy it. These posts are so pointless, there's tons of them, and people aren't going to stop playing destiny and/or the crucible.

It's not any particular weapon in cruicible at the monent, it's the lag. Lag recently has been some of the worst I've seen since destiny released, even while it's showing everyone in the lobby with a "green" connection. The amount of times I'm being "one shot" by underpowered guns due to lag is what's frustrating. Gun fights and game outcomes are being determined more now by connection than skill.

2 RepliesFinally someone spoke about this! I dont understand it...a guy was constantly killing me with UR from a ridiculous distance, and every shot he fired, was a kill. The same thing happened to me yesterday with a guy and his party crasher! Yet when I use a shotgun, the -blam!-er never dies or he still kills me first! It's even more frustrating than those who hard scope imo, half the time the guys not even on my radar before I get a shot fired up my ass...wtf.

Here we go again. Bad players complaining about whatever kills them. Lag and skill determine the outcome of your fights 9 times out of 10. Or else you're using poor weapon/build choices. They made shotguns effectively a melee weapon and people still don't know how to manage their distance. Wow.
