Let's face it hunters were nerfed into the ground, but that does not mean we are gone. So who else is going to put on their gunslingers cloak and head into the crucible and wreck the opposition? (this post is meant to be taken pvp-wise)

1 ReplyAdapt to striker is how I read this update
-
1 ReplyHunters are fine.
-
Maybe everyone should adapt to a different game.
-
I think that Hunter remains a very viable class, especially now in PvE. So I will adapt and continue to play, until the Rise of Iron heralds the Fall of PS3.
-
Gunslingers cloak grants vanguard rep! Bad move bruh!
-
Gunslinger Well no more throwing tripmines in the sky or sticking the enemy and killing myself lol, miss out on a few burning throwing kills. Bladedancer Don't use bd much use to be my favourite until it was nerf, might use him more. Nightstalker Wombo combo still decent Tether is awesome now Shadestep never really spammed it or rather i was the one to forget to use it, don't mind the 3 second cooldown its fair but only one shadestep i dont like

1 ReplyYou know what's funny despite all the nerfs we get we are still going to be labeled as the "easy" class we require more skill now more than ever and crytans and whorelocks will still bitch how were op.
-
Actually, I'm finding that I don't need to adapt. The nerfs haven't really affected my ability to play. Tripmines suck because you'd have to be super close to one to set it off and it usually doesn't last long enough for something to trip it anyway. The beauty of being a gunslinger is burning people with starlight and finishing them with guns and vice versa. For my throwing knife; I only use it on a guardian with out a shield. Also, a hand cannon-throwing knife combo beats a Titan's shoulder charge any day.

Everyone soon as their tears dry.

If I've adapted to the bullshit free aimbots that are snipers, then im positives you hunters can adapt to the changes. Look on the bright side. You still have your precious aimbots that handles like it weighs the size of a empty bag of potato chips.
-
I'm on the fence. I'm going to give it 2 weeks to adjust. I don't mind tripmines not sticking but the damage nerf is going to be tough to adjust to. They just don't kill unless the enemy is weak or they have low armor. Hopefully after a few weeks it will make since. If not, then boycott gunslinger until they fix it.
-
I'm adapting just fine and barely notice the nerfs to be honest. I always use a blade dancer and it's still good in PvP. Don't know what people mean when they say it's "unusable"; maybe they are just shit players who relied on unfair advantages and now they're butthurt.
-
1 ReplyHunters are fine. Like you said, people just need to adapt. If you're good, the nerfs m shouldn't be a big deal at all. The buffs are actually awesome. People around here tend to bitch and nothing else, so that's not really getting talked about.
-
Gunslinger is great in pve. What do you mean? You know how good it feels to one shot level 41 majors from full health and shields??????? We could never do that before without the Celestial Nighthawk. I'm sad about the throwing knife nerf though. They should buff its damage against AI. They should do more to all the subclasses' perks. They're getting there.
-
Everyone who's not a whiny little beotch.
-
I was hoping to be adapting to No Man's Sky... Another 2 months. Please, hurry the -blam!- up.
-
7 RepliesMe. After the Bladedancer nerf, I hardly feel that the super is viable and has any worth in the crucible anymore. Golden gun and tether are really the only two supers that really have the opportunity to thrive in a pvp environment. It's just sad that whenever bungie seems to witness something that is viable in the crucible, they nerf it.
-
yes we were nerfed beyond oryxs ass. but we are still top notch. ").

1 ReplyI lost interest in destiny since Tuesday. Nerfs that make no sense.

""Taken" PvP wise" Proof OP is a PvE skrub who hasn't experienced PvP (Just a joke, Ninja's don't ban me plz)

5 RepliesI'm not one to be profane over nerfs but this one honestly has me thinking that they don't know what the -blam!- balance is. I've been using gunslinger since the beta and never have I thought that this subclass was anything but balanced. The tripmine adjustment is complete bs to me in that it isn't a flux or fusion. It takes skill to stick your enemy. I can't imagine who complained about that. I guess one upside to that is that I won't be killing myself anymore. As for golden gun, did it really need a damage buff? Sure maybe when taken king dropped we could've used one when sunbreakers were busy eating rockets and gg shots. But now it kills every guardian it hits like it should. Why don't they rectify that achlyiophage symbiote time reduction? I hate having .01 seconds to fire four golden gun shots. Then there's circle of life. Man oh man how long has this perk been a complaint? I guess there is none because incendiary blade but does that go down as the stupidest perk in the game or what? Then they added PvE buffs like I'm using gunslinger over nightstalker in anything that doesn't have a solar burn modifier. Bungie, ya done goofed. ~ForeverGunslinger

I've not tried much PvP (I played 1 game of inferno 6v6 for the sterling package) so I can't speak much to that, other than to say that Hawkmoon isn't all that great anymore (or maybe it's just me). In PvE, however, the changes were alright. MASSIVE amounts of damage where previously there was none.
