They acted as stickies for TWO YEARS. They have stuck to everything and everyone has been ok with it for so long, and now that bungie says that "that's not how they were intended to be used." Everybody is suddenly ok with it? That's bullshit, and you all know it, if they weren't intended to work like that they would have changed them a month after release. Not to mention that they actually took skill/luck to stick to people because they had NO AIM ASSIST.
Okay I'm sorry for the confusing title. I'm basically saying that if it's supposed to be a trap then there shouldn't be such a huge indicator of where it's been placed, that's all I'm saying

Hahaha Ah.... Hahahahahhahahaha!

While I do think they should still stick. They are traps, I can't count how many times I've stuck one to a roof in a well lit hall and caught someone. Happened all the time on burning shrine, coming from c down the left side where that hall has blinding light coming through it, deters people from sneaking up behind your team.
-
For -blam!- sake, stop crying. Back when I gave a shit in year 1 PVP, I used to roll gunslinger and time and time again tripmines would give me kills even by accident. They were versatile and powerful and so -blam!-ing easy to use.
-
2 RepliesNow it's a trap with a red warning light complete with the inability to 1 shot a guardian. Some trap.
-
Tripmines were changed because the community cries salt all the time. Too many unskilled players or habit based players. Once their tried and true methods start faltering, whatever killed them is suddendly OP. They race to the forums to piss and moan. I main a titan and tripmines are my fave grenade. They usually make me laugh as my titan sets one off and goes flying across the screen. Everyone seems to forget that every class of guardian is different. These crybabies wont quit until the game is unplayable or until the classes are identical. What kind of fun is that??? Hey community, grow a pair and play the game. I think bungie should issue a box of tissues for every hardcopy of their game. Either tissues or salt shakers.

Edited by Barrier: 6/16/2016 4:03:22 PMIt took two years to make a grenade as it was intended? Yeah fucking right. Bungie just changed it because they wanted to. Don't let them fool you lol You even got a damn medal for sticking people with them
-
2 RepliesYeah, and claymores in CoD have 2 red lines because they aren't traps. Wait a minute....
-
I agree, I've got a clip of a lucky throw that stuck a golden gunner right as he turned the corner and that was luck, I was just trying to block that doorway. Also the damage nerf made no sense, they already aren't a OHK and now it's even less damage.
-
Edited by HotCupofNasty: 6/16/2016 3:56:01 PMTotally agree dude. This is bs excuses and thats that. If they were intended for another use they should have changed it a loooooong time ago. Throwing knives are what piss me off the most though. A titan can run around with his noob tube shotty and shoulder charge all game, mean while a Hunter has a cool down on knives, plus you would have to be dead accurate to get that OHK. No comparison there and it's total stupidity on Bungie.
-
Listen to me, I have had no say in the development team and I have had no creative authority when they made the concepts of this game! But what I say is law and you should all listen to me! What Bungie's devs want is completely irrelevant because they all kneel to me!
-
18 RepliesPerhaps try using a class that requires some skill instead?
-
1 ReplyIt IS a trap......a very inefficient, ineffective, low power, substandard, last resort, telegraphing, wasted option, gimped to high hell while dragging an decent exotic into the dirt trap buuuuut a trap nonetheless.
-
25 RepliesWait a second. Doesn't the warlock have a grenade that sticks to people? Why should warlock grenades be better than hunter ones?
-
Honestly I never even knew they stuck to guardians until the update because it never happened to me
-
9 RepliesFirst they're called trip mines meaning mines go on or in the ground and you set them of by walking through or "tripping" over its sensor. Second lightning grenades and spike grenades don't stick so why should trip mines. But they should come up with an exotic that makes trip mines invisible to offset the lack of stickiness
-
I wasn't ok. They were bs
-
So the other day i was playing pvp and i ran up to a guy threw the trip mine on the wall behind him, he activated it and move slightly to the left and hardly even scrached him, but me who was a few feet away from it managed to kill me, i dont mind the nerf and non sticky part but why does it have to almost kill me ?
-
Skip grenade though
-
4 RepliesR.I.P Golden gun class :-(
-
2 RepliesIf anything Destiny 2 won't have much of a chance if Bungie keeps doing this, nobody will ever trust their games again :/
-
3 RepliesI was nervous about the trip mine nerf because, honestly, I get probably half my kills every match from trip mines. But after finally getting a few solid hours to play last night, I maybe missed out on 1 kill from not being able to stick someone. Had I placed it an inch to the left it would have had the kill. If you rely on sticking people for the kill (as super satisfying as it was) then you are limiting its effectiveness yourself. Besides, it's also really satisfying sticking the wall just behind their shoulder and blasting their face straight into the ground.
4 RepliesI really wonder if this thing about tripmines is a result of the Meyhem game mode.
-
Also is it me or is the gunslinger an odd choice to have the trap nade. If it's a trap shouldn't the blade dancer have it so they can invis in set trap sneak out to sniper distance and wait for the trap to spring?
-
Man cool out. It is what it is. Get over it. I understand your frustration and concern but ish is not going to change. Do you remember when they nerfed the ish out of the The Last Word after TTK? They drastically decreased the stability while ADS because they said the gun was designed to shoot from the hip. Bungie decided to spring that on the community a whole year later. Same thing you are experiencing. Players adapted, evolved, and moved on. Again, you are disappointed and it's cool but you have to let it go.

32 RepliesEdited by SOB BADD0GGIE: 6/16/2016 1:50:34 PMIt's not a matter of whether or not we're OK with it. It's a matter of not dwelling on the past of some pixels in a game and how they operate. Right, wrong, or indifferent, the change happened. The way it acted for the last two years is irrelevant. Adapt and overcome...or play something else. Bitching on the forums isn't going to change anything for the better...only for the worse (apparently I had to edit that bit because people can't seem to understand).
For the record, I don't agree with a lot of the changes. I've been an advocate from the start of NOT nerfing anything...including the original Vex (and that was before I had mine). This is just the way it is. We can either continue to play their game the way that they want us to, or we can play something else. If you want to send a message, stop playing the game.
2 RepliesWell we all know who used them as stickies.... Seriously though, do people have to complain about every update?
