Aright guys, you got me. I may not have weighed in all the details when comparing these two. So my apologies on that. I'm not an idiot, just made a misjudgment like we all do from time to time. Good day to you sirs.

2 RepliesI think they nerfed them so people don't use them in coe
-
2 RepliesHere is the thing. if they nerf the damage then it is just a heavy hitting melee. In order to nerf shoulder charge they would have to change how it worked altogether. So who knows, maybe we will see it , maybe we wont.

4 RepliesEdited by BLWigglyAkA: 6/15/2016 1:01:19 PMSo many people are so stupid and just mad that Hunters were a great class. If someone has a throwing knife thrown point blank at their head, right between the eyes and nose, and it penetrates, deep, would they live? So why the hell am I dying from a shoulder charge at the feet when I jump?
-
You don't care to talk about it? Then why did you post this? Throwing knives and trip mines could be thrown from mid range and ohko (if well aimed) or even lobbed across maps for sweet montages. At least with shoulder charge you need to get point blank. I main Titan, so I know it can be good. But it is also easily countered. And with the lag fest that is IB, I often see/hear/feel my shoulder charge connecting and yet get killed before it procs. So it's not all glamour is what I'm saying lol.
-
I agree people have been begging for a striker nerf so they nerf locks and hunters and buff sunbreakers. Good job bungie...
-
1 ReplyYou main a Hunter, so you would definitely know how SC works and how it can all go to shit if you end up misjudging the distance between your enemy and you turn up short... Now you're eating lead for breakfast.
-
2 RepliesBarely plays his Titan. Argument invalid.
-
Range damage should be < melee damage
-
4 RepliesHere's a typical scenario. Both players know the maps well enough. Both players are average PvP players. So let's assume the opponent guardian hides behind corner with shotgun. Striker notices radar proximity and "assumes" opponent should be behind the wall. Striker pauses and back tracks to gather up sprint from a wide angle to determine angle of attack and visibility. Once the Striker has hit its apex of its angle. The Striker sees the opponent guardian crouching with a shotgun in a moments frame. Within that split second the Striker finally unleashes shoulder charge. 3 things will always accur. 1st, let's say the Striker miscalculated the distance from launch to its target. This leaves the Striker vulnerable throughout that time frame and after the miss attack. Which generally concludes with the opponent offensively engaging with a shotgun, melee or a grenade. Striker down. Teabagging commences. 2nd, the angle of attack that the Striker took was too wide. This left the opportunity for the opponent since the Striker has not lined up its target. The opponent quickly engages with their primary or secondary. In other words, bullets will always beat a charging Striker. Teabagging commences. 3rd, with the proper angle of attack, the Striker caught a glimpse of its target crouching. The opponent has a split second to determine their targets position and starts to shoot. The Striker has the element of surprise. After confirming the position of its target the Striker begins to launch itself in the air momentarily in an attempt to avoid incoming gun fire and position themselves to counter the enemies offensive strategy or retreat plans. Determining that it was now close enough to engage with shoulder charge it unleashes it in the air with its PEREGRINE GREAVES decimating the opponents face against the wall. After the takedown and a moments rejoice. Teabagging commences but incoming gun fire takes down the running bull. The wall laughs at the stupidity of engagement and wonders...why can't I teabag...a sad day to be a bullet wall

22 RepliesShoulder charge is high risk/high reward. Throwing knives are not.
-
4 RepliesHahhahahaha this argument. R u Srs?!? A throwing knife should ohk because shoulder charge does?!
-
2 RepliesMy scout rifle should also do 419 damage to the head just because my sniper can and it's not fair that only my sniper can do that
-
12 RepliesIf you're going to let a Titan sprint directly into your face for absolutely free, you deserve to die. Simple.
-
4 RepliesAnd stormcaller melee is still one shot kill outside shotgun range, WTF bungle

Edited by OdinsKnight101: 6/15/2016 12:06:08 PMThe problem is you do care, or you would not have thrown your opinion into the mix.

1 ReplyEdited by kh3ll3dros: 6/15/2016 10:50:06 AMAnd Titan melee with burn is a 1 hit kill on low armor (warlock as well)...
-
3 RepliesI don't know about anyone else but my throwing knife never one hit killed anyone.
-
Not with the ram. Kappa
-
I think they should ohk if you happen to get a headshot. Otherwise, Nah. Doesn't make sense that a knife would kill in one hit when a bullet doesn't. Shoulder charge is only an issue when they seem to curve mid charge and hit you when when you should've successfully evaded. Don't know if this a problem with the game or latency. You are taking a hit from a large framed individual with heavy armor who is doing a sort of blink like thing. They travel extremely quick when doing the attack, makes sense it would kill you.
-
3 RepliesYes, please nerf shoulder charge! Btw, nerf: - Hunter - warlocks - Titans - Tripmines - that I get killed - my mom - Trump - Shoulder Charge again - Doctrin - any other weapon - your mom - god - Sniper - Fusion - your answer - your muted - sidearms - shotguns - blink - sunsinger - Hammer - ship drops - rep boten - my bad english - the USA - Russia as well to be fair - apples - music - Bubble Titans - Crybabys - nerfs - did we nerf fusions alrdy - this post - wtf
-
1 ReplyIf shoulder charge isn't a OHK, then it's just a regular melee that can only be done sprinting
-
7 RepliesA good shotgun to the face of a titan shoulder charging usually fixes that issue lmao

Edited by pixelmagic: 6/15/2016 8:56:57 AMThe game will never be balanced, too many variables in classes, weapons and perk sets, character builds, armour perks + small maps + lag etc. Something will ALWAYS stand out. These continuous tweaks will eventually take us in one giant circle. The only way to balance it would be take all of that out, give everyone the same weapons and abilities per match. I don't want that to happen, and I'm sure most others would hate it too. I think they are aiming for shotguns to be effective at shotgun range, Snipers from distance, Autos from mid range etc, but with the perks screwing all of those limits about, and tiny maps relevant to the people running around, it will always be a car crash of sorts. Think 12 people running around in a medium sized supermarket...at that range everything will kill everything. However, I don't mind the throwning knife not being a OHK (although i've never managed a OHK myself). Getting hit in the arm by a dagger vs getting hit by a fast travelling metal tank person, usually with spikey bits? I think that change makes sense.
-
A throwing knife headshot should be a one hit kill
-
One is range, one not. You are very smart, op!
-
Throwing knives never did OHKO anyone unless that player had severely low armor. Everyone is pissed off about the changes, but here's the thing about said changes, you can't do anything about them since you are only a player. Why complain about something you have no control over? That's like bitching about the sun because it's too hot. You can't stop it. It's there and it's going to be there. Here's a crazy idea. Bear with me. Learn to adapt. Don't whine that you can't do something now that they changed it. Work around it and come up with a new way to use what was changed. Adaptation is key. I main a Hunter and I just go with the flow. They changed it, oh well. I just find a new way to play my Hunter because complaining won't help me while I'm playing.
