Sorry I have to say this, but great job on Bungies part for moving away from legacy consoles or 'last gen'
This is great news for the game coming into Year 3!
In doing this, Bungie has free'd themselves from last gen hardware and is able to deliver great content going into Year 3.
This means more, wait for it 'Vault Space' Possible custom matches etc, character recreation, amazing polished graphics, possible weather patterns in pve and pvp, being able to add live events with a breeze and being able to add in content dlc or content for Year 3 without last gen holding us back.
Year 3 is shaping up to be an awesome year.
Again sorry last gen but it had to be done.
I own a PS4 since year 1 so I'm good.

1 ReplyAgreed ! ! ! The "Original" Destiny WAS next Gen ONLY, Money & Crack-ti-vision made them kill it, it's why all the people left in the beginning . . Go watch the E3 game-play footage it was cool ! 3 fire-teams met up for a major event in the divide ! The graphics , everything was EPIC ! tl;dr : Destiny ditches out-dated tech & Supports current ONLY & now can be as EPIC as it SHOULD HAVE BEEN !

The Xbox One only has better graphics. Same as the PS4. Nothing else changes. Like, literally nothing at all. Same with the PS4. In fact, the logic behind releasing a game on a last gen system only to release it's DLC on the next gen? Come on lol, they're literally trying to kill their own game. I understand Releasing "Destiny 2" on the next gen, but to shaft players like that? Again? You need to look at things with a different perspective *Edit* not 20 minutes later, and there's a massive 'Stork' error affecting only next gen.

It does not really mean any of that will happen at all. It just means it can maybe happen if and when they decide to, not when and if or how the players want it to.

5 RepliesWhy is everybody always talking about Destiny 2?? I don't get it, with the rise of iron we are starting destiny 3. There's not going to be a Destiny 2. I see destiny as WoW you get large expansions to your world. And maybe one day completely change a planet. Like they did in WoW with Catalyst.

Ah, I don't really agree ir disagree. While yes, the PS3/Xbox360 are last gen, I alwas remember that we DID have said consoles for over a decade. Yes they graphics and lag was "Terrible" but that's what happens when stuff gets newer as the good old consoles stay, well, old. I am going to miss last gen. Eh

So many comments, no one mentions that production of both the PS3 and Xbox 360 have been halted (discontinuing the console). This, in turn, makes producing for the console a poor business decision. Unsure that there any other companies/series that are still developing for legacy consoles (COD Modern Warfare collection is only a bundle to try to sell more units).

5 RepliesOkay here it is, I own 6 yes 6 360's, all work with controllers and MW3 headsets, yeah it sucks to leave it behind, gonna sell them all to help pay for my xbone limited edition Halo 5 console, just ordered it from game stop for under 300* not too bad in my book so see everyone on the flip side..... But, being a 17, trying to find a first job with no resume and being raised with two siblings by a single mom fighting a deadly disease while trying to put food on the table makes it very tough to afford a newer console. I like the move, but I know I'll be affected by it. [spoiler]what I say about me is true, but i know the current gen "i think I'm better than everyone" people will troll so yeah.[/spoiler]

ps3 and 360 only got dropped when they saw the number's for 8th gen systems at the end of last year. two weeks before that microsoft and playstation said they would support those systems for the foreseeable future. Two weeks later they got the numbers for 8th gen and made new comments about how they were sorry for their last comments as they had in that time decided to drop 7th gen system support. That is what lead to this uproar of," Well ps3 and 360 are holding us back" nonsense. While yes 8th gen does do EVERYTHING better( No argument from me) It can all be done on 7th gen as long as you don't have so many games clogging your memory. Which I am a part of, I have a ton of games clogging my ps3's arteries, but like those who will eat a stick of butter whole( Those people are insane) I love it!( Not the butter, the games^_^)

18 Repliesi'm sorry man but what u said kind of ticked me off. There are still many destiny fans on old gen consoles that don't have a chance to get a ps4 or xbox one. All we want to do is support bungie by having a fun time with the new dlcs they give us in order to reach their goal of 10 years. if they don't give us the new dlc like we wanted, they are going to lose a lot of support unless they could somehow make it available for ps3 or xbox360. In my opinion, Bungie what you are doing is a big mistake.
