Seriously....you are completely wrong!! Stop removing videos of cheating!! These people should be called out

2 RepliesName and shaming is against the CoC, so if they're doing that I've got no sympathy
-
4 RepliesI've said it before...cheaters will not be disciplined by anyone in bungie...you will be punished for calling them out and bringing the problem to the public eye. We need to create a Google document and list all cheaters with date encountered, activity, gamer tag or psn name, platform, guardian class and the type of cheat (lag switch or golden gun 20 seconds in the start of the match and so on)
-
Everyone go to the stream on the 9th and bombard them with requests for matchmaking based on location and better banning system
-
I don't see why it's any different that people posting their montage videos and crap like that. If you posy a video of people allegedly cheating against you you'd think bungie would look into it seriously instead of just removing the video
-
61 RepliesFirst, Forum Ninjas are just community members like you who volunteer to help out by acting as forum moderators. Second, Bungie takes reports and game bans VERY seriously, and so they carefully research those reports against their server logs for actual shenanigans (cheating/exploits). If those reports and the investigation bear fruit, the cheaters will be dealt with. But things like making a video, creating a topic, and/or naming them here on the forums serves no purpose and has no benefit. Moreover, we've seen numerous instances in the past where such topics have led to harassment of innocent players. If you have used the in-game report tool, then you've done your part. For those who who want to take the extra step, or were kicked from the game (and are unable to access the reporting tool), Bungie has created a Cheating Submission Form that allows players to find the PGCR (Post Game Carnage Report) from their personal history, fill out an official report, describe the cheating, and even link a vid (if they have one). Please feel free and encouraged to use these reporting tools, but do not use these forums to "name and shame" suspected cheaters.. * If you are not confident that a player was cheating, do not use this form. * Abuse of this contact form may result in account restrictions. * Fraudulent reports and submissions unrelated to cheating may result in disciplinary actions against your account. 3 RepliesThey protect the cheaters...not the honest players.
-
While there are cheaters out there. 99% of the perceived cheating on this game just isn't cheating. There are dozens of reasons why someone may lag, or your shots may not register. Why has it come to "if I don't like that you killed me, you must be cheating so I'm going to run to the forums". That's 3rd grade shit.
-
Naming and shaming policy?
-
1 ReplyThey remove the vid and such cause they don't have evidence or know if they are actually cheating or of its their connection.
-
They should allow name and shame with evidence, just like that video yesterday of ToO where the teams were 3-3, A gets the point and the next match starts 4-4. That match went downhill from there. I just hope bungie removes their gear, that will definitely show them. /sarcasm Real cheaters should be labeled as such. But only with evidence.
-
1 ReplyNormal player = $$$ Cheating player = $$$ Normal player complaining about cheating player = deal with it. We rich beeyotch....
-
Bungie takes the videos down because it's not cheating, it's their shirty ass servers.
-
"First, Forum Ninjas are just community members like you who volunteer to help out by acting as forum moderators." Bungie is not removing those posts, Bungie NEVER EVEN KNEW ABOUT THEM. Read anything posted by a "ninja" and think about it for a second. "Ninjas" ARE NOT BUNGIE EMPLOYEES. They are a bunch of random people who have been given power by Bungie to police their forums. So if your complaints are never even seen by ANY Bungie employee, they can continue to ignore all the coding issues, the horribly broken crucible, and the fact that their servers aren't strong enough to process their way out of a wet paper bag. So go do what you do best, Guardians, and find every game breaking bug you can. Then immediately share it with everyone you meet so good 'ol Bungo has to spend money to fix the garbage that should have been fixed in Year One.
-
But cheaters also pay Bungie for the game and dlcs. If they remove them then they lose some player base. Bungie is never going to do that.
-
These threads are quickly becoming the shitposts of #Destiny

2 RepliesBlizzard bans people from overwatch..1st offensive of proven cheating lifetime ban!! Be on stream tomorrow to voice our feelings to bungie..ban cheats forever

Agreed

17 RepliesPosting name shame threads and videos on the forums only lead to threats and sometimes worse to the accused, this is not ok, especially if that player is not cheating...no one should receive threats over actions done in a video game... Bungie has an official report that can be filled out, and they even accept video evidence (found in the help section), they will not respond to you personally, they will investigate, find solid proof of wrong doing, and proceed with punishments they deem worthy of the offense... The simple facts are, not everyone accused of cheating, is actually cheating, and despite popular belief, its not that common... Name shaming does nothing productive, nothing good can come from it, it violates code of conduct, and is a far bigger problem, then cheating actually is...

Look man, I understand that there are rules but people playing by the rules is getting screwed over by the ones who aren't. Bumgie is guilty by aiding and abetting by allowing it to happen over and over again. There's a right way of doing things and then there's an affective way of doing things. When Bumgie starts pulling a Blizzard and permanently ban cheaters then, and only then, will the right way be affective. They say we violate the CoC by calling them out and name shaming. I say it's Neighborhood Watch, which is what we need for each other. Enough of this self-righteous Captain America bs, we need some Punisher action. We need cheaters taken out for good. Not slapped on the wrist and thrown back into the general population after a week just for us to get screwed over again.
-
1 ReplyTo be honest bungie doesn't care that people are cheating in game they won't do anything because they don't wanna lose money from getting rid of those people
-
2 RepliesThe proper way is to report the user.
-
.... you don't see the trouble that would cause... yes it would be nice to know who is going to screw you over... but that is a lawsuit waiting to happen. So Bungie to save their own asses is deleting everything.
