Why dont people use hardlight?
This weapon is a beast with zero damage fall off, penetrating and ricochet rounds, it has just enough impact to make Midas bounce for days, has an exceptional clip that can make for easy double kills, it even throws doctrines off balance because of its power.
It's a gun highly under rated and I don't see why.
I used it in trials and got most of the kills each game, although I didn't go flawless I hope to do so some day.
It's also really good for control because of the piercing rounds.
It also looks awesome, sounds awesome to fire, has better stats than most other auto rifles and has good normal perks as well.
This gun needs more love, it needs to be acknowledged that it is a BEAST and it should get a cool ribbon for being the best.
Edit: should they replace QuickDraw with persistence?

7 RepliesLot of people say it has alot of recoil but really doesn't, what you see is visual recoil. Gun is super easy to handle 100 aim assist and stability and no damage drop off makes it a fun and powerful gun to use... i even drop palli and lunas with it.

I agree with you mostly- based on stats (if you include the spray & play reload time) it is among the top dps guns. For me personally- I find it tougher to be precise with headshots with all of the laser light effects. Somehow I find it distracting and get outgunned regularly- so I stopped trying to use it in crucible. Even in PvE it's more of a fun, novelty item, and I only use it for a little while.

Because screen shake and damage. I'd rather use other guns that don't take my exotic. Granted if you want a light show then equip hardlight and go in a cave and play some rave music.

It's ok, but isn't overwhelming. I love killing people running HL at range. Poor bastards.

Hard Light's been one of my favorite exotics since year one and I love how they've made it better. If they just toned down the view kick and screen shake it would be everywhere

4 RepliesI use it all the time. Sure it can be outgunned by other stuff. Most things can. But it's got one thing the others dont. If you land head shots on someone, the lights will -blam!- them up just enough to give you an edge. I see it all the time. I win gunfights I shouldn't. I've been on the revmcieving end of it. But you have to land headshots. The moment you start missing, it'll open you up in an obvious way because all those lights have a starting point... That and you can be more effective at suppressive fire to push the enemy back. Noone wants to walk into those blue darts. Bounce them off walls like this and sometimes you'll get an assist too. It's not the best, but it has many uses. Imo anyways :)

Hard Light was my first and favorite exotic gun back in year 1 though, and i used it a ton, so there's a good chance I'll pick it up again once i get enough infusion fuel.
