Why would they need to take a gun out of the game? It's not overpowered or even overused. It's a slightly better than average hand cannon which is arguably the worst primary weapon class in the game.

6 RepliesWhy? It's been hit pretty hard by the April update. I hardly see it much anymore so it's fine and definitely shouldn't be removed from the game. Can you imagine the forums the next day if it was? Give Bungie more credit than that. They know what they are doing. The crucible is more balanced today than it's ever been.

7 RepliesEdited by バチャータをする: 6/6/2016 3:07:12 PMWell, regular TLW user here Mainly in Rumble & Control, if you don't believe, check my recent games with the Hunter and Titan Don't want to sound cocky, but I like to think I'm good using it The nerf really changed the way I play with TLW, from Aggressive Ballistics + SPS to the more user friendly Soft Ballistics + Perfect Balance If you challenge at close range, yes, you will get shit on, I've stopped a lot of shotgunners and shoulder charges with it Medium range though, it takes skill to use, to pace your shots, in medium you will get dominated by Hawksaw/PDX-45 and MIDA Personally, I think it's balanced, couple it with a sniper and you have a very reliable secondary for those medium to long ranges As many other guardians pointed out, it doesn't give you amazing skills and you can slay anyone at any range, it's built fot those 1v1 engagements at it's ideal range, a gunslinger weapon that will net you a lot of kills once you practice with it But, who knows? Maybe I'm just not that good to try First Curse haha TL;DR: It takes more time to use properly than before, try it for yourself and see Anyways, a good counter is to take your distance wait for the reload and pray the guys using it doesn't know how to use it at medium range [spoiler]Don't engage a Last Word user at close range... just, don't.[/spoiler]

Space Cowboys need to calm down and watch some Cowboy Bebop, beatbox the Tank!Tank!Tank! theme while they shoot the pew pew pistol around. [spoiler]#CowboyBebopSeason2[/spoiler] But, Last Word was a gun I used for a while as a newb back in Year 1. I felt dirty, yes, but ultimately it was FUN. A change of pace. Let them win the battle, it takes them about 5 out of their 8 to get the kill now. They are easily countered if you wait for the reload. This is coming from the guy that literally despises that gun and oh so wishes it to be NERFED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE HELLMOUTH.

I know this because I had a last word using time. The gun is very tough to consistently do well with even after bungee gave it a secret buff to its hit detection and range but it takes a lot of skill to use and do well with consistently worst case don't worry about it there's not many people using it that much
