since the game gives us zero backstory (or any really) on our guardians, I've had my own little story since playing. been tweaked a couple of times since DLC launches (and personal stuff), and it helps that there's no clear timeline (specific dates) of the events in Destiny, and that our guardians are quasi immortal. This is the current slate. Disclaimer: This sh*t has been in my head for awhile, need to get it out. idgaf if anyone reads or even likes it. Feel free to leave an opinion though, those are always fun. The Unholy Trinity There were three. Two were of the Order of Paladins. One was a loner. A legendary Hunter, a human known only as Jack. Wielded his Arc-Blade as if it were a bolt of lightning. Loved his Trip-Mine and polished his Young Ahamkara's Spine every night. Renowned for taking on young guardians and molding them into "walking doomsdays with brains." A Warlock, an Awoken by the name of Aideen Alainn. A recent and young addition, by Guardian standards. Devoutly studied the magic of the sun. Her friendship with Jack taught her much, including the joy in destruction. His mentorship opened the door to the Void for her. A Titan, a lonely Exo, designation Prometheus-8. Master of The Fist. The Tower Bar was often filled with stories of seeing a lone titan, fly in from seemingly out of nowhere, crash from the sky like a meteor. The only thing left standing in a crater of sparks, Prometheus-8. He had never touched the Void, saw no need to hide behind a wall, until he had friends to protect. All three were present during the Battle of Twilight Gap, among the few who survived. Upon seeing the carnage, the three made a pact: "[i]The Fallen hit us with everything they had. Now it's out turn. Each House will loose as much as we have.[/i]" With the blessing of the Vanguard, the three named themselves "The Unholy Trinity", for the retaliatory Hell they unleashed. Golden Bullets, Arcs of Thunder and Explosions of Void riddled The Kings. Prometheus-8 even began taking the cloaks of Captains and fashioning them into Marks, declaring himself a King. His domain? The land between life and death. His duty was to see every Fallen make their way towards the latter. After Saint-14 slew the Devil Kell, their House had fallen into disarray. The Unholy Trinity regarded The Devils as a joke. They would often solo entire squadrons or raid fortresses for fun. They forgot, the Eliksni hold their pride. One day, flying back to the Tower, Jack picked up a distress signal. A Ghost had revived a new Guardian, only to be blindsided by The Devils. Jack rushed to the coordinates, only to be ambushed himself. Five Fallen Skiffs immediately warped in, one intentionally crashing into Jack's ship, the "The Fangs of Nyx". Aideen and Prometheus-8 found the wreckage, and salvaged the ship's flight recorder. Jack and his Ghost, Casper, fought long and hard. All the way until Casper grew too tired from the constant resurrections, tired enough to be captured. The Unholy Duo scoured Earth for Jack's body and his Ghost for ten years. They slew countless Devils, looking for information, until the Vanguard decided their methods were too brutal and grounded them. They used the time for reflection and grief, and were able to let it go. Aideen gave up her arms and threw herself in research, amassing information on subclasses and skills for new Guardians. Prometheus-8, disillisioned at the complete loss of one of his two friends, gave up war, in a sense. Unable to sit idly, he immersed himself in the Fires of the Crucible. He never used his Fist though. He only raised a wall. To protect those by his side. Aideen would join him on occasion.
