A letter to snipers, thank you
After countless games of getting my head blown off around Every. Single. Corner. From across the map to as close as 10 feet away, I was getting wrecked by you sorty bastards and I saw no end in sight.
But instead of comming to these forums and complain, I went to my vault and leveled up every weapon I had. I start experimenting with different loadouts.
Afterwards I started to learn about my surroundings and being aware. You need that special ammo crate more than I do, so I memorized the timer and camp it so you wont get it.
You hardscoping that corner? Thats cool, I titan skate [u]everywhere[/u]. So by the time you take those extra two seconds to re-aquire your aim it takes 1 second to throw a flashbang and dome with this Saterianne rapier with high caliber rounds.
I learned to play smart thanks to you bastards and I thank you for that. Go look at my last 5 games on my titan. I went 40 kills with a 8.0 kd on frontier. 25 kills on bannerfall with a 3.0 kd
Yup, I got gud now. You wont hear no salt post from about snipers no matter how bullshit they are. Here some advice for ppl that struggle with snipers.
High caliber rounds are your friends.
Dont stay out in open areas too long
Use a emote to look around corners
Only engage when your weapon in its effective range ( to increase flinch)
And last don't complain to bungie because its obvious at this point that like warlocks, snipers will never get nerfed because thats how they want it to be. Cant really change that. You're gonna have to adapt.

Edit : I thought alot of people knew that you can use a emote to look around corners...I got that from TrueVangaurd
Edit: to the people that cant do math. You divide the number of kills with the number of deaths. 25÷8 = 3.125 I rounded down. I hate these forums, you all dismissed my entire post because of this. Goodness people

Lmao.....great post. I was so sick of snipers a while back I decided to use a sniper myself. I have to be honest, it did not feel good, it's garbage. So, I grabbed shotgun and two lightening grenades with extra throw distance and went at it. I did not have the success you did, but good gravy I had fun. Killed more snipers than I ever have. I was able to close distance while their cowardly ashes jumped and floated around to avoid death by lightening. I am going to try your tactic and camp the special. Take it easy guardian!!

Tracking nades make snipers move if your far away pull your sniper out you no they are coming back. Blast his head around when he rounds the corner or if he comes back before full health quick body shot. If your close nade, blink, shot to the head or punch to the face

I can't challenge snipers in destiny like cod, in bo2 snipers we op as hell and took no skill, still take no skill. I could just run and jumpshot around the corner with my an-94 and kill them, or I could just peak out and challenge them, even at sniper ranges and win. Destiny I feel I can't challenge snipers at all, I still question how I use hand cannons it any weapons, light the sniper up with head shots and get domed. And it's funny how whenever snipers are meta, or the best to use in a fps, is when the game is in its worse state. They need to scale the damage too, a headshot always a 1 shot yes, but like you shouldn't hit me in my toe for 167, that's so cheap.

I use my zarnieae d. Bout 50/50. But most the time they back away and send a mida user or such. Zarn eats their lunch. If u haven't tried the zarn with dmg bonus and double stability perk. Might want to.

<3 that's the best story I've ever heard! I dislike snipers, I use them because I have to in certain situations. The hype on them, the people who use them, it's annoying. Anyways beyond the point, it's great to hear you took it upon yourself to better your gameplay. Kudos man!

I snipe !! AALOOTTT !! And yet i have no trouble in taking out a sniper with a High Impact Scout. Jade Rabbit is fantastic , has just a slight bit of learning curve. The flinch at the receiving end is insane.

I use a Cocytus SR4. I let them have their ammo and I let them use their lanes. makes them easier to find. Make sure you hit their head when you round the corner and it's just 3 easy hits. they normally give up on it about half way through the match. Seeing as they are more invested in their sniping then the primary and I was able to shut them down with a primary they are playing at a complete disadvantage (as I'm sure you noticed too ;) I suggest a fusion rifle as your special because with that you can also thump your nose at the warrior shotgunners as well (it's really fun lol)

I always sit down to check corners or if I'm using a sword I'll pull that out.

Ive learned the sweet art of hopping with my titan lately. Hopping around corners, avoiding shotguns to the knees, makes snipers aim up expecting the lift jump but nope, etc
