ENOUGH SBMM
Title says it all. I'm tired of lag. I'm tired of playing sweaty. I just want to have fun.
EDIT3: Fireteams should be matched against other fireteams. No more of this 3v3x1 namby pamby. It's a slaughter.
EDIT: It feels like I'm being PUNISHED instead of REWARDED for being a relatively high skill player. That seems counterintuitive, don'tcha think Bungie?
EDIT2: People will say that I just want to stomp lesser skilled players. That's not true. I am just sick of being matched with lesser skilled players on my team. Let's say there is a pool of six players in a 3v3 match. If I am the top one or two players, they will put me and then 2 weaker members against another high skill player with 2 weaker members. So essentially it's whoever can carry the team better. That's boring. Instead, I would rather have 3 equally skilled players against 3 equally skilled players if you are gonna use SBMM. That's what Bungie is trying to do. Unfortunately, there aren't enough people playing the game because they are tired of SBMM, so the algorithms are forced to comingle high skilled players and low skilled players, and then you have to consider Bungie's BS about "every player should have a 1.0 k/d and a 50% win/loss ratio." In other words... they matchmake to make your stats fit a quota. So if I am an above average player, they will eventually stack the odds against me and I can't do anything about it.

1 ReplyThe lag is unbearable I quit games all the time because of the lag. I know others who back out of laggy games. It's sad we as players have to back out and hope the next game isn't laggy.

1 ReplySBMM IS EXACTLY WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE. It pairs medium to high skilled solo players with the biggest blueberry, moronic, bottom feeding, filthy negative KD super scrubs against a stacked team. The reason behind this thought process is so the moronic team mates who die every 5 seconds and feed kills to the other team can watch you sweat your ass off while getting pub stomped by Pablo and his two amigos. These "super scrubs" may possibly learn something while the camera shifts onto you while they are dead. They get plenty of cam-time because they are always dead. Pablo and his gang are laughing their asses off while teleporting from what is considered a great 56k connection speed somewhere in Falken Islands. Yea, SBMM IS THE BEST!

1 ReplyPeople have been pounding this drum for over 6 months and Bungie doesn't seem to want to get it through their thick skulls. Part of the problem is Bungie is fixated on doing this and another part of the problem is the community itself. I think given how vocal the community has been about being against SBMM it will be either removed or completely overhauled with the upcoming September expansion. If not the only advice I can give is don't buy another product from Bungie until it is removed.

I don't know what kind of SBMM is going on, but I'm a pretty mediocre player, and bungie thinks lately that I'm some sort of MLG pro given some of the lobbies I get dropped into
