I have a 0.8 K/D and proud of it.
As with any game you're initial K/D tends to haunt you later as you get better, but besides that I try new things. I play different classes. I try different builds. I try different styles of play. That keeps things fun for me. My experiments don't always work out and my K/D suffers for it. In the end I'm striving for that "positives" value but if I never reach it? -blam!- it!

12 RepliesForget about K/Ds. K/Ds are a measurement of the poorness of opposing players, not the goodness of yourself. I mean a skillful 335 player, kills a few unskilled 295s, and says he's good! Really?

2 RepliesI maintain a 1.0 Not proud, not ashamed. I can have back-to-back matches where I go 0.38 and 3.8 depending on my willingness to commit to playing smart. But, playing smart is boring so I quickly revert to Shoulder Charging everybody and I end up eating a lot of shotty shells, which I prefer to pacing it out.

6 RepliesI'm a top 1% player in terms of suicides. And proud of it. Lastly had 6 suicides on Vertigo with my Bladedancer. I REALLY need to stop believing that I can blink upwards to the portal from A/C.

This past iron banner was the first one where i played in a group as opposed to solo only. My kd for the week was about .5 higher than it normally is. It makes me never want to play solo again.

In any other game I would care what my KD is but in destiny I'm not too bothered. Laggers don't really help the KD. I like to have fun with NLB and other fun to use guns in 6v6, doesn't always go well.

I never heard of k/d till I got this game and got on these forums, so I could care less. I like what I like and hate what I hate. I think fusions take the most skill as a secondary and shotguns are the cheapest. I think trials gear and weapons look lame so I won't even attempt it. I avoid the meta because I like to challenge myself, and I like going to the beach and traveling at sunset and you get the picture lol. If I ain't gettin paid for it, it don't mean crap to me. :)

1 ReplyPeople take video games too seriously. It's a stupid game.... If you care about k/d and ELO then you need to go buy a hand job.... Because we know you ain't gettin one otherwise or else you'd be more chill about this game. I don't know what's worse.... A sweaty 18 year old that will develop cataracts at the age of 30 because of the constant exposure to a tv screen or a 10 year old who curses more than a NYC cab driver. Chill out and play the game. There are more important things in life then a stupid ELO.... Like bourbon.

K/D....I explain it like this.....A drag Racer walks into a room of NASCAR champions and starts talking about how he's a better racer because he's gone over 300MPH and they have barely broken 200MPH.
