I wanted to record unloading an entire clip in a Titans head without any damage being done but it's not worth it. Everyone is having the same issues. What is the problem Bungie?
To all Guardians: Last night, I asked a player on the other fire team why he was lagging so bad and he said "this is the best we have in New Zealand" .......cough cough! For a game that doesn't have dedicated servers it's.probably not a good idea to have people matched on two different hemispheres!
-
we need dedicated servers
-
PvP connections are very broken atm. I assume "damage referee" is not jiving with "painted green bars" and and SBMM/CBMM algorithm. Poor connections are owning the crucible at the moment.
-
Pple just stop playing crucible until they finally fix everything that's wrong or else your kd will take huge dive.
-
The connection is the least of the problems in PVP. I find the rampant snipers and sweaties who play Skirmish like it's Trials to be much bigger issues. It's making it difficult to want to even play the game anymore. The only reason I do is because I have a very (VERY) limited number of FPS games.

6 RepliesSee, when I enter a game, I see that I have a red bar, I immediately leave the game so my experience and everyone else's experience doesn't go to shit, this is what everyone else should be doing

1,000,000 YEARS DUNGEON!!

Edited by Brokenspade: 5/25/2016 2:15:50 AMSkill based matchmaking at it's finest. I'll never buy a Bungie product again if destiny2 is sbmm
-
Massive amount of latency caused by them again forcing sbbm down our throats when no one wants it
-
No! This shit post is unacceptable

2 RepliesThese servers have nothing on the gears of war 2 and 3 servers ..try playing someone from Mexico or over seas in those games then tell me again how bad destiny is

4 RepliesEdited by erik: 5/24/2016 10:20:23 PMSBMM (more accurately peer to peer) is awesome eh Bungie. This crap happens literally multiple times a day. Fixing your matchmaking WONT "help top tier players and hurt everyone else" I'm not a top crucible player and your matchmaking is giving me the shaft on the daily, weekly, or whatever the blam-ly I'm playing is. Its not even the skill based part thats the problem. Can you guys read your forum? I'm sick and tired of being paired with penguins and reindeer in -BLAM-ing Antartica or the North Pole and as a result facing red bars, who honestly probably have a fine connection (who then ironically get reported/banned). Trials is the worst sufferer. Litterally with no new PVE content PVP is one of the few intersting things to do, but throwing trip mines at someone gets old when their shield gives zero craps about it. *slow clap* Edit - it's late if the link doesnt work I'll upload to YouTube tomorrow✌ 2nd edit - its not as late anymore. So, to elaborate. As was touched on in this thread, placing people in different hemispheres together when other options are available is not only lame, but something that Randal the Vandal might think of to try and avoid getting killed for the trillionth time. But I really dont understand where the idea to do this in a PLAYER versus PLAYER game mode came from, where you and the other guardians are the new Randal. Here's a simplified example that may actually resonate with someone who cares about the player base and is in a position to do something (specifically PVP but relevant to PVE as well). I live in north america. My uncle lives in Japan. When I talk to him on the phone, I hear an echo (to put it simply for the Randals out there). That is an example of LATENCY. When I talk to sweet little grandma who lives a city over, there is no noticable echo (LATENCY) though it does exist, albeit undetectable at that range. Now that we've had a conservative example here is one on the other end of the spectrum. It takes NASA between 3 and 28 minutes roughly (depending on the signal) to communicate with a Rover on mars or a spaceship orbiting it, from Earth. Latency tends to increase with distance. The reason that the latency shown in the above clip is less than three minutes is because I wasn't playing a NASA astronaut chilling on destiny during his off time while orbiting Mars. I was probably playing somebody in a different hemisphere, or at least very far away. You'll notice this guy didnt take damage OR (this is the interesting part) shoot back. My gut feeling is that they were experiencing a similar issue to what I was, and were probably frustrated as well. So I report him for red bar, he reports me, and it goes on and on and on. That brings me to the next point. I have several video clips of blatant lag switching, which is different from what I posted in the above link. For instance, they teleport behind me and shotgun me or whatever from a distance thats greater than allowed for under normal circumstances. I die. They dont take damage. This is usually deliberate. What I dont understand, is why for years now players have reported people for this and more often than not NOTHING happens. Now, people show redbars because of matchmaking placing people on different parts of the planet together and these people get reported. But now, Bungies decides to start banning people? WTF??? And you wont even discuss it? Sure, some people probably deserve it. But a good portion do NOT. One of my friends I have known for years (since before destiny was a figment of your imagination) was banned for "connectivity" and I know for a fact that he has one of the best connections AND ISPs known to man. And yes, in anticipation of your c/p reply, both of our Xboxs are and have been hardwired since day one. He is an honest person, and on top of that knows nothing at all about networking, lagswitches, DDOS, anything. He just plays for fun. This is a result of YOUR matchmaking, and now another result is scores of players receiving underserved bans. I know you already lost at least one patron. My friend doesn't pay for quality internet to be banned because Bungie cant get their hens in order. Instead, he found a new game and company to support that doesnt ban him for matchmaking. I'll end my rant now. Its been said before, will likely be said again, but I truly hope someone who cares reads this, can overlook my harsh comments made in a mix of desperation and frustration, and can do something about it. I truly like this game. But I dont like what you are doing with it Bungie. Not a whole lot of people do. All your content really has been around since day one, but thats a whole new rant that I'm not going to jump on right now. Just please do something about this madness. The real cause of these laggers, which Bungie labels as cheaters, seems to be Bungie itself. I'll let you draw the obvious conclusion. Peace

You see I shoot after I know they should be dead and because they are still coming towards me I usually die because I'm distracted by them and don't know when they are really dead because they are lagging so bad
-
2 RepliesI totally agree. Nothing like shooting the crap out of someone who takes no damage, runs by you into a wall, runs against said wall for a few seconds and then you die and see them run off with the kill. WTF. Will be playing overwatch for a bit until they get their heads out of their butts and fix some things.

16 RepliesIf you see Hispanic names bail out cause you're getting ready to play some laggy teleporting pieces of shit

Well we were doing strikes and the bosses were teloporting all over the place last night so idk.

UNACCEPTABLE!

Destiny. Where p2p has the problems cheap dedicated servers have. Oh the irony
-
1 ReplyChill Lemongrab. It'll be okay.

I've got a clip of a Titan shooting doctrine through a walk for a good 5 seconds and eventually killing me. You could see the bullets going through the wall on my clip. The connection showed all greens. This is destiny.

1 Replysaves money for them if they match you with players around your skill so you stay in games longer because its close and less games are being made. only when new expansion comes out i would imagine they would invest in extra servers to handle the increased population but after the new game luster wears off usually about a month it goes back to shitty connection based.
-
It's never a good idea to match people from different hemispheres, even if the game was running on dedicated servers you would end up having the same problems.
