Morning BNet,
So I threw this idea over on Reddit and it's been pretty well received from what I've seen, so I'm gonna paste it here to see if any of you guys like it too. Here's the post:
Idk if this has been posted before but I just thought of it myself today while I was playing PoE. I was on my defender going up against 3 minotaurs and I was fresh out of everything except primary ammo and my bubble. I thought, "how cool would it be if my weapons of light turned my auto rifle into void damage?" It got me thinking. Weapons of light could make it so that when active all primaries that have kinetic damage will deal void damage. Then I realized this would be a wonderful addition to song of flame as well; all kinetic damage turns to solar when standing near the warlock/for the warlock itself. Im not sure what the arc variant would be but maybe that would just be a future subclass. Have these count as "ability" kills too, to help out those poor bubble bros with their bounties. Also don't ask me what happens when you combine the two. -blam!-in rainbow damage idk

1 ReplyThis is such a good idea. It could be just the add on song of flame needs to be a true supportive perk. I had a similar idea of tweaking it to make all enemies damaged by your or allied grenades are weaker to incoming damage. Like melting point. But I like the idea of void for weapons and solar for song of flame. It's genius.

I like the idea of support perks being more meaningful than they currently are to inventivize people to actually use them.

3 RepliesTo do this they would need to rework the support classes so there is one per element.
