LIGHT LEVEL DOES NOT EQUAL SKILL LEVEL
OK... rant time.. I hate to be the "git gud scrub" type of guy but for God's sake the amount of incompetent people in Kingsfall is astonishing.
LFG is full of light level snobs (both characters I play are 332 when I'm raiding)
But the funny thing is I've dragged sub 300 light first timers through hard raid that performed better than half the 330+ light snobs I find on LFG.
KINGSFALL IS MECHANIC BASED, LIGHT LEVEL MEANS NOTHING IF YOU CAN'T COUNT YOUR DAMMED PLATES OR WATCH A STUPID ASS TIMER

Bump. Its too easy for everyone to reach max level hacks included.. April update did some good but this is part of the bad.. 335's that have never completed a raid... its terrible.. ive been sayin this since update.. but it is easy enough to check their raid completions so thats what i do now..

and I have heard people with no mics actually do better than people who have mics. I have expirenced that, it is true

Tried to do coe earlier tonight and both other players were higher light than me they died within seconds into round one and I revived them both and they both died again within seconds. I couldn't revive them cause the cabal boss was right there so I did my best to stay alive so they could respawn and I got kicked. Unbelievable man lol. lfg has all kinds on there

this does not only apply only to the raid. I am not fully light upgraded but will die less than my team mates 10 light higher than me. and conversely have been outplayed by guys lower light than me. If you post light level demands of others when trying to recruit... you are a douche. I will play with anyone. anyone! ... until the challenge is deemed impossible.

1 ReplyWelcome to raiding in video games. Back in WoW people wouldn't let you do Naxx on my server unless you already had Naxx gear. What a god damned catch 22 that was. So the end results were raids led by people, for people, and full of people who just got carried through it because 40 man raids were cluster-blam!-s and had no clue how to actually do the raid. This still carried on in later expansions too, so this kind of crazy mentality is nothing new. People who play videogames manage to be both the dumbest and most elitist people about being dumb considering half the mechanics are basically just "stand on a thing and count to three" or "don't stand in the fire" most of the time.

I've stopped raid now, I've done about 5 raid completions since the update, I don't care what light they are, grimmore score helps but you don't really know until you start, I know in the first 5 mins whether it's worth staying with a team or not. Don't pick a 335 over a 320 just because in they're higher light.

Correct. But it normally does relate to play time. Which, if someone has had more experience with something, they are genrally better. This is not 100% true, but it is for about 80-90% of the time.

game is now for the masses...nothing else, more kids (no problem with them) who are proud to have a high light level, but dont know what to do...bungie made it possible - forever 29, if u know what i mean...

2 RepliesYou do have to remember that sometimes you just have a bad day. I hold my own in the raid, but there have been times where things just don't go your way. Friend of mine and I got invited to a raid last Oryx challenge, and he died for no good reason on our first attempt. Two of the other players left. It was just one of those times the game wants to kill you for no reason. Nobody near him, nothing shot him, he just blew up as soon as we started. It was funny as hell to the rest of us, and two of us saw it happen.

Yeah but considering how easy it is to get high light levels I find it hard to believe that a solid experienced player would have a low light. If you are good then you should be higher

Best happened to me in year 1, had a group of all 34's asking for a 6th person for VoG and required them to "know they raid". They didn't know how to do anything and I wasted 4 hours just trying to get to Atheon because I had to stop and explain EVERY THING to these players. What was my reward for this? A boot from the fireteam and getting called a "noob that was holding them back". Beat Atheon on the first try with a team the next day that was between 32-34 in levels that actually knew what they were doing.

I stop playing the raid for that reason....and because everytime I post on lfg to do the full raid I get invited by people at oryx that have no idea what to do. I say FULL RAID NOT ORYX, LEARN TO READ DAMN IT!
