Omg at the 325+ that don't know how to do the raid

4 RepliesThere is certainly a noticeable increase in players trying out hard mode for the first time. I enjoy helping them out because we were all there not that long ago (must have run Oryx half a dozen times yesterday). Just a bit of advice for all those players that are busting to try it. Don't stay silent in the party when someone asks who hasn't done it before - speak up because most times the experienced players will go out of their way to help you. Of course there are those elitists that will bitch and moan because of their obvious advanced skill levels. You will be able to pick them, they are normally the ones that die instantly each attempt and blame you. In the long run it will be great to have a much larger base of experienced raiders to play with. We just need to put more of our Sherpa hats on.

So then the new update comes along, and makes it so our more casual buddies can gear up easier to join us in the raids. Nope..still cant join your a fake 320+ !!! C'mon people. Honestly, ill admit im one of those guys who make a very strict post for my first 3 runs on a tue/wed. Mostly because of time issues i have mid week. Other than that, ill raid with anyobody on a weekend regardless of light level. Some of my favourite raids have been with new guys blind to kings fall. Surely most of us experienced raiders are of the ability by now to easily carry at least 2 new guys? We've learned the raid inside out...we know how to squeeze every last drop of dps out of our loadout. We can pick up the slack. Thats not to say it doesnt work both ways. If your new, speak up! Be honest. Most people wont kick you for being new. They will kick you for saying you're not new, and then wiping us lots of times. Watch some videos. Round up some fellow new guys and practice a few normal runs. If you want a team to help you, show some willingness to meet them halfway by gaining some raid knowledge. This update is great in that its more inclusive. We can gear up just the same as casuals and hardcore alike. The new guys are 320+ now. Lets bring them in on the fun. You never know, you might find a fresh outluck on ingame fun.

2 RepliesI don't raid. I did lfg once and was the single most traumatic event of my gaming life. It has permanently marred my expectations of humanity. It shook the foundations of my spiritual beliefs. I won't ever raid again. Ever. I'd rather delete my characters.

I just experienced this last nite...twice...ran fresh and took two hours to get to sisters...couldn't get sisters done...joined another group got sisters done but couldn't kill Oryx in an hour and a half...Wtf What I did notice is the guys that screwed up the most had absolutely no hard raid gear on...might be coincidence might not...all were 320 and higher. If you are new to hard just say so...at least we could know what we are in for Fml

2 RepliesWanna hear a funny reversal? For some reason I'm damn lucky with 3oC drops from the shade. Since you can't pick them up til you goto orbit, there's no cooldown. One time I got three in a row! Last couple of weekends I joined LFG Oryx's to get those sweet golden engrams, even though I'm done for the week. Would you know every team I joined got oryx done first try! Fudging Hell, I'm here to farm the shade! Now, if I was the runner, I could cause a wipe. . .No, I couldn't be that mean. Lol

Because it doesn't take only the raid now to get high light & PoE is way easier to succeed in. The only mechanic is shoot

17 Replies334 and refused to do Oryx! Why? Don't remove my raid elemental primaries! You do and I just say no! So, in the end, was Oryx worth doing? 312 and now 334 without it. No disappointed drops and no more 'best guns from raiding problem', so, pass and made a huge profit. Answer, to me, couldn't care about Oryx if you paid me real $$! If you did do Oryx, kudos. I didn't and am at no loss as for it. No longer care about "end game content". It's now proven meaningless! Was told this by another player that I called out. He won, I learned... And for those of you out there who "think" I'm missing out. I "think" my time investment and hundreds of raids speak otherwise. I "think" negating my year1 slaving for raid drops qualifies me to just say "no", and "never again"!

325+ Never completed hard mode oryx. Done everything up to that point. Never did ToO in Y2 either. SiMply because everyone I played with quit and I hate LFG...

It's not just raids, it's strikes too. People who've only had the game a fortnight are 325 plus, and they don't seem to know any strats. All over maps, dying constantly, which makes me die trying to revive the idiots.

Raid is boring that's why, people only doing it now to get a few more light. It'll be back to normal soon where only hardcore raiders do it.

1 ReplyA lot of people probably feel more confident with their light being higher. From my experiences, I hate doing anything that involves getting a team together because I hate having to deal with people who get pissy and rage just because someone messed up a couple of times. Granted, yeah if they're refusing to listen and deliberately not doing what they should to be annoying id kick them. But It's the people who constantly complain about new people wanting to try something that ruins it and makes them not want to try the raid or trials.
