But I'm not gonna hate somebody because they have different beliefs. And the same for homosexuals/transgendered. I'll pray for you, and hope you do well in life. 4 RepliesMy Best friends are Atheists, I don't care, I'm a Christian, they don't care. One guy I know is literally a 15 year old Richard Dawkins. I have Arguements all the time, I don't like him. He thinks I'm irrational. Not all Atheists are assholes, Not all Muslims are terrorists, Not all Christians hate gays.

I don't know. I'm Christian. One of my best friends is Atheist. Funny, right? You want to know why? Because unlike most of the dumbasses that claim to be 'Christian", I'm a rare breed known as 'tolerate". Sure, I make fun of him for being Atheist. He makes fun of me for being Christian. Does that mean that I should insult him every day and make fun of him for believing differently, or in fact, BEING different? That's the problem. These days, everyone gets so damn butthurt about pointless shit. What's even funnier is that people target an ENTIRE GROUP for being different, just because one of that group is rude. A few rotten apples spoil all of them.

4 RepliesI think that the religious posts just need to stop. I hate seeing petty people fighting because of something that the two party's involved disagree on; and yet, no matter how much either side bickers, beliefs (or lack thereof) are not changed. It's like two castles waging war, but instead of siege weapons, the soldiers are using marshmallows to attack each other's castles. People will find for themselves what they believe, and honestly, some people are in dire need of religion, either for what it teaches, or the community they're introduced to. I would much rather be talking about what our favorite movies, or what our favorite foods are, or what we think about panda's. Wouldn't you?

I'm Catholic and most of my closest friends are athiest. Two are agnostic. The reason people don't like some athiest is because they insult others with their personal beliefs like how you said that ignorance is bliss; you pretty much said I am ignorant for believing in God or a god. I don't try to shove my beliefs down my friends throats and they don't do that to me.

6 RepliesComing from a Christian leaning agnostic, aside from 50-70% of Islam, atheists are the most intolerant and obsessively irritating quasi religious group around. And they're hypocrites. They go after Christians and, to some degree, Jews, for certain issues and to prevent the display of various religious symbols. But they won't touch other religions like Buddhism or Islam. It's more like atheism is a hate group focused on attacking the two largest, most valuable, and most productive religious institutions in the country. The only enjoyment I get out of these militant atheists is they are at least fun to troll when you call them a religion, which they are. They have faith in certain facts that have not been definitively proven (evolution, big bang theories--which are theories that, while strongly supported, are still theories and have not been upgraded to absolute scientific law), and, in some cases, that cannot be definitively proven (the existence of a deity, lack of afterlife). Say what you will, the placement of faith in uncertainties is a religion, god or not. And let's face it, a lot of them won't just say they don't believe in god, they claim god doesn't exist.
