I'll be honest with you, once i reach rank 5 i don't care about winning anymore, only on getting my post game drops. So i may capture a zone or two, but i'm not going out of my way to make sure we constantly have two.

I wasnt messing around making that up. Ive seen it through many endgame results. I play control quite a bit.

It's a placebo effect. I have never noticed any difference between the drops when winning or losing, and i have played more crucible than you have (335 hours to 153). Not that that really matters, but i think that i would have noticed a trend were that to be true.

Its just personal experience and thats 155 hours. But thats due to not having solid trials team to roll with. But thats a different story, in any case Ive had decent experience with drops after 5 numbers of times. And i tended to have much better drops winning. Theres not 100 % certainty its either way i just know from the experiences ive had in the last 4 IBs.

I think it's an anomaly tbh. I've noticed if anything you get better drops when losing. However, I think that there is no difference one way or the other. It's an equal chance of getting a drop in crucible and iron banner regardless of what team you are on. The only game mode I think is different is trials, where I think the winning team can get things to drop that the losing team can't get. Not sure because I've never played it before, But That's what I've heard. Either way, until bungie says that's the case, I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing

Yea? technically, im helping more people out by doing this, assuming everyone in the lobby is still ranking up except for me, since there are 5 other people on my team, and 6 on the other team. 6 is greater than 5, so actually, im being more helpful to people who are trying to rank up!

^^This , Iron Banner starts on a Tuesday not a Friday or Saturday , so by the weekend I'm Rank 5 on all 3 toons and just tooling around levelling shit up and hoping for a decent post match drop .

yea, its pointless to be sweaty anymore at that point haha. I like to think of it as i am helping out the people on the other team as well who still need to rank up. Guess im screwing over my own team in the process, but hey, not counting me, there are more people on the other team, so technically i am helping out more people than i would be otehrwise?
