I swear I've been trying all mother-loving day long and guardians can't stay alive. If a million bucks was on the line, everyone would still die. Sigh.....

Because most of the vets were bored as hell with it by the time oryx came out.... I haven't even beatin oryx once and I could care less to get it done. I'm down for pvp though, although I haven't turned he game on in a few weeks
-
1 ReplyI quit raiding when guys said "MUST BE 320 WITH TOM AND BLACK SPINDLE WE ARE ON NORMAL FRESH"
-
You're not the only one man... I've been on oryx the past four days. It's ridiculous. I know exactly what to do. I can rin, I can take platforms, kill my ogre and still kill my knight in time. I haven't even completed hard once yet.

Edited by nicchae_KR: 3/28/2016 2:03:31 AMWhat I found out with recent raid players who are relatively new to hard raid is that if you know what the hell you are doing as an individual raid player, the rest of the group will tend to follow and not die on you.

16 RepliesThere are some simple things that people just cannot get right. Like killing their knights. I mean FFS people... Put 2 sniper rounds into your Ogre, the Titan's should have it finished off by then. Next, reload whilst turning around to face your knight (if you think you'll need more than two shots), head shot/body shot (or visa-versa), switch back to Malice (or weapon of choice), take out Acolytes sprinting across to assist Titan's (stop Acolyte eyes spawning). By then the runner should have the Relic. Run to Titan bubble and wait. Two people focus on 4th knight, the other four focus on Vessel (if runner isn't using Raze Lighter/Sword of choice). Shoot Oryx. Stagger. Shoot "pew pew" ads. Stop shooting. Wait. Warlock starts super just before Oryx reclaims the thing. Hunter tethers. Warlock kills all ads with Solar nades. A squillion orbs. Profit. Kill knights/ads. In shade Warlock takes hit (or Titan drops BoL). Kill shade. Rinse and repeat. Shitty Profit? I'm in a clan luckily, and this isn't an issue for me... But occasionally due to life, I need to LFG, and if people could just follow these simple steps, no-one would have any problems doing this raid.

1 ReplyIt's deceptively simple, but requires some serious discipline and focus. You get people that haven't learned that and you're going to run into problems. It only takes one person and one little screw up to cause a wipe. Staying alive is first and foremost. If a had a penny every time i've heard, I was going for that.....heavy, special, legendary engram, etc.

2 RepliesI suck because I spend all day at the Lighthouse, it's a social space on mercury for the good players, have you heard of it?

Scrubs...

2 RepliesMannnnnnnnn try the whole Raid bro! Two weeks ago. I was on a team wth 4 319 characters, 316 and a I was the 5th 319. I'm like we got this we made it to Totems and it took over 15 tries. I was so pissed that I left the team. I can do the Raid with my eyes closed. I just don't understand why it is so hard for people to do something that is so repetitive.
-
But it is not hard. We did it again the other day with 2 x 307 light players using the challenge method. Teamwork, communication, shoot shit and don't die.
-
3 RepliesThe one -blam!- on LFG need 3 totems hard 317+ If you die you get kicked Honestly those guys can't play if they need 317+ on totems.
-
Get your raids done Tue-Fri. Sat - Mon very hard to find good lfg group
-
Because all the experienced players are playing other games.
-
I swear after that last bungie twitch stream about how they're copy and pasting shit for the "big update" in April, people packed their shit and left.

1 ReplyAll of the posts asking for 315+ for hard mode are laughable. My first time through hard mode, I was 308. Most of the other guys were around 313. One was 309 and one was 319. It was piece of cake. Few wipes and we did golgoroth challenge. Easy. Those posts are showing how weak they are. I do realise that some times you get a team that just doesn't work together. There's people that are more interested in getting high or drunk, or texting, than actually playing. Or paying attention. For those instances, a higher LL isn't going to help you. You have to have your head in the game or your just wasting my time.
-
Lol. So true. I think it's from people just not being able to focus and perform under pressure. When in hard mode if someone dies it's pretty close to a wipe unless you're close to detonation. I've played with a lot of LFGer's and what it really comes down to is communication and cool customers when doing your job. If everyone is focused on doing your job and not panicking when it's intense. The reason Squeakers fail so much is because they never stop talking about anything and everything that's not related to the task at hand. No attention span no laser like focus. I usually run the brand for Warpriest twice unless it's challenge and I drop the bubble and take the gaze by myself for Golgoroth...knock him out in two damage cycles. On Oryx I can run relic...or titan bubble and all 3 totem positions. Focus is all it takes...but team focus is what makes it a quick fun run.

OP is lettuce.

It's easy I can get both 3rd and 4th knight and stay alive with a hunter(I'm a year 2 player). Yet I have players with glimmer scores off the roof and die on oryx. Haven't done a y1 raid but Kings fall is sooo easy, I only did normal raid once and went to hard. Once you do a raid once I would think you would know how to do it the second time. I was a pro the second time yet people done it 15 times and still die.
-
I have no idea. All three of my characters are 313-315 with my raiding gear on and I almost always outdamage, outlive, and outperform higher level people at every stage. I've been playing since the Beta though, so I'm used to being at a level disadvantage in Raids. I'd probably be at 320 if I didn't take a break from Destiny.
-
When I start someone new at Oryx, I have them stay on ogre duty first, after a couple times seeing what goes on, I'll have them jump for fourth bomb, then plate one a couple times. At that point, they have a pretty good understanding of how it work from the middle visually and from the rest of the team communicating.

2 Replieswe sorta gave up since some people cant kill their knights and not tether the shade
-
1 ReplyPeople missing their knights and not calling it out...I can't stand that and it happens SO OFTEN.

3 RepliesEdited by WiLDRoCKeR334: 3/27/2016 7:26:56 PMBecause you,'re rolling with newbs or dumbasses. Get a Sherpa like me and you'll see the differences.

My requirente are 305+. Have a bit of experience. If not, is cool Mic. If not, can listen Good gear. I dont ask for black spindle or sleeper. A scout rifle, 1000k vendor roll and high impact machine gun is great Hell, If you cant play, I will give check point for no cost
