So not looking forward to a new PoE
A re-skinned PoE which prolly will just have the most annoying enemies imaginable in the taken. Yay for spamming black balls, bubble shields, fire spitting, psion splitting, hobgoblin purple death Rays.... Etc... So psyched to play this.... Errrrr

Positive side: three rounds only and with weekly score card and bounties - event is no similar to trials but for PvE players - I'm looking forward to it

18 RepliesSome people just cannot be greatful anymore...smh like wtf bungie is trying to make us happy and its better than Kings Fall by far in my OPINION. With friends it was fun to defeat skolas or any boss and the point system may sound simple but is like Cruci-PvE. And i think the community will enjoy it.

We wanted the HOW [u]system[/u] back, etheric light/ loadout options/ good weapons/ gear we liked from any part of the game/ all that jazz... 1 ReplyNormally I'd be optimistic about new content tbh, but the idea of a Prison of Taken does not thrill me in the least. I am sick and tired of Taken Vandals and their ultra impervious black shields, you know, the ones that can take Nova Bomb, GG, RL to the face and sneeze at them or the "I will endlessly copy myself even as you wipe out 50 of me and are about to kill the last one." Psions. When you (you being Bungie) say you have a TTK sized DLC/update, that means more than a few Crucible maps and the Prison of Taken. The only bright spot is the return of Winters Run, at least for me, I miss the Archon Priest, at least a glimmer of light before the oncoming train.

I, on the other hand, am so excited for PoE. I have more fun running PoE than strikes, and they're making it so you can earn Glimmer, XP and engrams, so now it's actually a valid alternative. And the new challenge mode looks like a blast. I can't wait for April.

We had good weapons that covered every range and contingency, but not now. Recently I went into a lev 32 poe just for shits and giggles, and it took 5 shots with a shotgun to kill a captain, where my y1 found verdict would tear his head off in 2, and that's with me being lev 40. I couldn't imagine fighting hords of lev 40 fat bastard taken cabal when they jump over the barricades with these pieces of shit they call shotguns. I wouldn't go into a lev 40 poe with the weapons we got in Y2 for the love of money. No way.

People hated PoE the first time around and thought it was a horrible replacement for a raid, and that was when one of the rewards was an item that let you raise your favorite weapons to endgame levels. This time around it's just replacing the raid as the way to get endgame gear, WITHOUT making the content we love relevant again.

5 RepliesMy Biggest problem with PoE was no check point - and personally I didn't mind the challenge but I know a lot of players stopped after completing it once - and without match making we're going to have to continue to recruit if we want to continue to participate in PoE
