Does KD matter?
KD doesn't mean anything, There are so many things that wreck KD like Being friendly, Boosting, Doing the sword quest, Using bad weapons, Other people using your account, Being away from your controller, trying to get sparrow kills, and more. Also some people like me aren't sweaty all the time , I'm rarely sweaty, I barely ever use stuff like TLW, Mida, Doctrine. The only way to know a persons skill is to see them play.

The biggest problem I see is that when some first start in the crucible, they take on lots of deaths because of not knowing the maps, guns, rythum of the game, so your playing catch up for a long time if you have a life. I look at people's last 30 days etc to have a real guage.

Stats are just paper they may predict your stat on that kind of way. But sure Mtashed may have a higher KD than SirD but its because SirD plays soo much sweaties like it has become his habit already

When there isn't revives then yes. If you're under a 1kd, you're costing your team.

I can guarantee you that a 2 kdr player will beat a 1 kdr player 99 percent of the time. Sure, this is a video game...it's nothing to take seriously, but skill is skill. Kdr is a good measure of skill in pvp. And this is coming from someone with a bad kdr; I am middle of the road at best.

KD matters when less than 1.0. Going negative hurts the team in most game modes.

1 ReplyIts debatable Imo Its a combination of k/d and win% that matters. Ill take someone with an average kd and high win% over someone with a high kd and low win% because those people seem to make valuable sacrafices to get the W. Where as the latter does nothing to help the team except camp and boost personal stats not worried about winning. On the contrary kd does show how great a player is when their win% matches, some of the top 100 players in trials have 2.0+ kd with 90% wins and those numbers tell no lies

It partially matters not 100 percent like 25 percent the other 75 percent is teamwork if you know how to play together you can beat anyone

It depends on the playlist to be honest. You wouldn't want a negative kd in trials would you? If you go to the recruitment section for trials you will see how many people ask for a positive kd, even those who have a negative kd ask for a high one. My kd might be trash but rest assure that I can hang with the 2.0+ kds.
