KD doesn't mean anything, There are so many things that wreck KD like Being friendly, Boosting, Doing the sword quest, Using bad weapons, Other people using your account, Being away from your controller, trying to get sparrow kills, and more. Also some people like me aren't sweaty all the time , I'm rarely sweaty, I barely ever use stuff like TLW, Mida, Doctrine. The only way to know a persons skill is to see them play.

KD doesn't account for your team play so...
-
Well, the only way K/D can really be an accurate showing of where your skill level is at in the crucible, it would have to be a monthly or weekly K/D count. The overall K/D includes when you first started playing Destiny, and like me, you probably weren't as good as you are right now. So that K/D isn't really as accurate as a monthly or weekly one would be.

I screwed over my KD when I was a little kindergaurdian so badly that I can't bring it back no matter how hard i try.
-
KD means nothing when you're gonna get cheated anyway
-
Obviously

Well it's kinda tricky to answer. For PvP obviously it carries serious weight. It's probably the only stat that really matters for most in PvP side. For PvE it really doesn't matter that much. Specially for raids where a single person dying often leads to the group wiping doesn't best reflect of your personal skill.

To an extent. If someone's K/D is 2.0+ but their win % is 20% or a little more then it shows they're only useful for killing 1 person at a time and are super passive. A bad player in my book. If someone's K/D is like 0.7 (I'm exaggerating because that's just horrendous) and have a win % of about 70% (exaggerating again a little) it either means they are very good at objectives or they only play in 6 man teams and get every ounce of their being carried which is most likely the case. The point I'm trying to make is that the numbers have to add up or it has to be balanced Their recent games play a big part of it. But make sure they're not in 4+ man teams because it doesn't show their individual strength. Since that's what really matters.

Depends on who you ask. Officially? Ask Bungie.

You're trash

Sword hilt kills woot woot

KD doesn't matter to me. I'd rather run around the map like a nut and try to kill people with weird non meta weapons. Getting a kill with the Omolon test fr1 in trials makes my teammates giggle every time.
-
It matters, only problem is what destiny does to pvp. The changes destroyed pvp. So in one match you absolutely hold your own, the next match its like you are playing with your feet.
-
If you suck just admit it...

1 ReplyEdited by Druknbrod: 3/17/2016 12:33:33 AMIt only matters if it matters to you. I play crucible for fun not kd. Altho I admit I feel proud when I have more kills then deaths, but if I don't it doesn't bother me...fun all the way!
-
5 RepliesNo because it doesn't count your revives or assists
-
It would matter more if it wasn't so easily subverted.
-
No matter what people admit. K/D does matter. Especially if a majority of your games are modes like clash, rumble, or trials. It is a very good indication of how well you are preform in PvP
-
3 RepliesIt does, wanna know why? Simple, get a trials passage with no boons and play the first 4 games... you know those guys that your team completely destroyed without effort? check their k/d... now check the team 7, 8 and 9.

21 Replies62% NO?! Hahahahahahaha, bunch of scrubs!

There is a reason kjhovey has a 3KD in trials

No because game type
