People still haven't killed Oryx??
I took a few months off from Raiding and just started back up here in the past few weeks. I have no friends that still play destiny on a consistent basis. I was able to easily complete all the Raid challenges for the past 3 weeks (on hard)on All 3 characters just by using the lfg raid forum on here..... how is it that Still 6 months later, so few people have done this? There is no excuse for it other than you just are too lazy or don't want to take the time.....
Posts like this really seem to ruffle the feathers of the scrubs in this game. Why must you all make such lame excuses for yourselves?

13 RepliesOr we don't have PS Plus/Xbox Gold. Did you take that into consideration? Or the fact that some people just don't like raids? Or some people are PVP only? Or some people just really suck at this game? Or not everyone is year one and are working through the whole game? Or that maybe you no life this game?

They either can't snipe their knight or stand on a pillar without being killed or stand in an orb long enough to detonate it. This morning it took me four different groups before I found one that did it on their first try. First group a 320 rage quit after 1st wipe. Second group the Titan wouldn't put on defender subclass that makes the bubble last longer so he kept dying in the middle. 3rd group was a bunch of kids and I'm sure 3 didn't know what to do. No matter how smooth the first part if the raid goes, Oryx always goes to shit with randos. And no, I'm not joining a clan.

The real question is, if you don't want to do the raids then why would you even play the game? Had there been no raids I would have left a looooooong time ago. Granted, they still weren't enough to keep me around (and good riddance), but I wouldn't have made it to TDB had they not been around. ... so how have people been playing this long without them? They must just need something to kill their idle time or something, I can't think of Destiny staying fun all that time.

Some people prefer to spend countless hours on patrol and doing vanguard heroic strikes over again. And participating in iron banner when it comes around.. But those same people say it's not a way for them to get to a higher light. Without ever doing the raid or trials :/ I think you should complain when you have done everything.. But that's just me. Everyone has their reasons and what not.

I did the same thing took a few months off came back last week did the hard raid on all three characters including challenge mode.

I've beaten Oryx, but I'm lazy and have only done the Warpriest challenge.

Honestly I never thought that I would even get vault of glass done lol I'm pretty lazy but I was still (somehow) able to find a few people to do raids and that snowballed into three raid groups that I can call on to do raids each week. Friended first raid friends, next week two of the five raid guys were out, the ones that were left used LFG to find two people, one of the two people that joined has a lot of raid friends, they needed help to do normal raid, even got year 1 stuff done too.

10 RepliesThere is an excuse, like you said, no friends on Destiny, and just generally not caring. You can get to 315-ish without setting foot in the raid, and also like you said, it has been 6 months, only elites/experienced want to raid, most casuals don't want to set foot in the raid because they don't need/want to.
