Stop forcing people to play pvp
Stop making people play the crucible is they dont like pvp...i shouldnt be force to play pvp just for an exotic sword

I think there should be two ways to do every quest the pvp route and the pve route I feel sorry for those who couldn't get thorn in y1

Why do I have to go to McDonald's to get a Big Mac? Why do I have to go to the movie theater to watch new movies? Why do I have to go to work 40 hours a week to get a paycheck? Why do I have to own a (insert game console here) to play (insert console exclusive game here)? You know why I do those things? Because I want the reward for doing said thing.

They should have two different ways for exotic sword they should of had a pve way and a pvp way but that would be to easy for bungie

2 Repliesyou realize that you don't have to do that part of the challenge in order to get an exotic sword right? try abandoning the quest and pick up the sword from Shaxx on a character that you want to run it with. Upgrade it fully and level it up to over 280. Then go back to Shaxx and he will give you the quest. This time though the quest starts a few steps ahead. You'll immediately go to the part where you have to farm materials on a planet and get ability kills. Then wait for arms day and do the final part. No crucible play needed. But since you mention the crucible, there are other exotic weapons you have to play crucible for too. Some are harder than others like the Jolly Holiday quest i'm working on now. Pain in the ass getting a positive kd with the Last Word equipped.

1 ReplyHave to disagree, I used to hate PVP but being forced to go in got me to liking it. Also, keep in mind that you don't need heavy ammo to kill people with the sword, just whack them with the hilt. When I was going for my third sword I had 18 kills in one match with just the hilt. And you can cheat, too, just get two buddies to join you in elimination and let you kill them.

If you only play half the game you only get half the stuff but nobody is FORCING you to play pvp.

1 ReplyThankfully, you only have to do it once. Once you get to the part for collecting materials, you can talk to Shaxx and buy the other 2 swords and level them up. This allows you to skip doing Crucible again.

All you have to do is spend 30 minutes to an hour of your day in the crucible whacking people with swords m. Doesn't take a week. Why are bitching. I could argue that I'm a pvp player why are they forcing me to play pvp to get the swords. No one is forcing you to do anything. You don't have to get the sword.

Don't mean to be toxic but... Do you know how stupid this sounds? You want them to remove all the PVE parts of TOM so you can get it without playing the raid/strikes?

19 RepliesI don't agree the game is PVP centric, you need the raid to get over 300 light. Period. That being said, I do 100% agree that bungie forces you to play the game the way bungie wants you to play it, and that I disagree with on principle.

1 ReplyPVP should have own set of weapons that are for PVP only. Heck give them some quest weapons that are earned only through crucible activities and only useful in PVP Game would be MUCH easier to balance then. Tada. Problem solved. Didn't take me 18 months to figure it out either.

And I shouldn't have to play PvE just to be 310+ (Fyi I run trials every week over 20 games and grind rank 5 IB and my max LL is only 315 thanks to some raid gear
