Sleeper Simulant
I got my Sleeper Simulant the first time it came rolling around. Now it's 318; but I hear people calling it a disappointment? Can someone please tell me how 14,000 base damage and a 17,000 critical hit dmg is [i]disappointing[/i]?

I recently took mine to 320 and I can solo a taken zealot in one full ammo supply.

1 ReplyIt's just a disappointment because people hyped it up so much, expecting to go on a huge quest for it. Only to have it randomly show up in a quest that had only like 5 steps in it.

It's all I equip for bosses (there are a couple I don't equip it for). Put mine to 320 the first chance I got, It's no Gjallarhorn but it's the closest thing to it for y2

I dont use in hm because it can potentially kill me with bounces, and takes my exotic slot

On Golgoroth it does 100k+ damage. I never use it on sisters because I have Touch of Malice. I also use it on the ogres when fighting oryx

Had a guy last night telling me that it doesnt flinch warpriest very well......320 sleeper coupled w 320 vangaurd vendor 1k doing just fine bro.....someones gotta get that first finch fast.

I like using it from time to time - its a fun weapon - but its not hugely great - but is it bad ? heck no ! Enjoy it.

I think of it as a golden gun. If you need a major dead really quick the sleeper will take it out in one shot most of the time. Outside of that, the only time I use it on bosses is if there's a solar burn modifier.

Its my go to exotic for the raid outside of daughters. Was my second gun I infused to 320. Such a beast

People were hyping it up to be the next ghally. They saw short clips of its use and jumped to conclusions. I saw through it though. Don't get me wrong, the gun still hits hard, but it is a fusion rifle which has gotten multiple nerfs. If you could tell me what you are hitting on golgoroth without WoL I could compare it to my 318 BS.

And I have two gear pieces that increase sniper reload speed? 2x the reload? Forget about it. Only time I use it though, but I did see it used on oryx for the kid who beat it on challenge mode with 1 other person. Only disappointing thing is IT HOLDS 9 BULLETS.

Because you have to be accurate with it probably. 12 ammo count when used with the right armour aswell

I used it last week on a strike , absolutely amazing that gun is . I don't call it weak or a disappointment at all . The only thing the I get irritated with is the kick it has on it . Like I'll be bracing my thumbs for the recoil trying to center my camera and sometimes I'll move my thumbs too early and completely miss the shot .
