Thank you.
Edit: A few people have actually been having a discussion. I appreciate that. The rest of you are just pathetic scrubs who can't live without their crutch and can't string together anything resembling a good reason why year one guns shouldn't be separated somehow in the crucible playlists.
Edit 2: A lot of people are wrongly assuming that I think Thorn should go away because I'm getting killed by it. That's not true. Of course I die to it sometimes, but that's true of all guns. I don't care about getting killed. I care that Thorn is an almost infinite source of burn which completely changes the flavor of the match for everybody. No weapon, especially a primary, should have that big an impact on the game's landscape. Thorn isn't as good as MIDA or Last Word, but you'll notice I don't care about those guns. That's because those guns are just (very good) guns. They can't completely zone players out of a section of the map with endless DoT without cooldown. Thorn just changes the game so heavy-handedly that it reduces the quality of the overall PvP experience. Of course Thorn can be countered. Killing Thorn users is usually pretty easy, but you still get zoned by a single shot from a bad player, and now you're removed from the fight for a stupid amount of time because somebody bodyshot you once with a hand canon. That's just stupid.
Edit 3: Very few people seem to read. Yes, Thorn is easy to beat. No, I don't want it nerfed. Yes, I think it's fine that people use Thorn. Hell, I use Thorn every once in a while. My issue is that the gun is poorly designed, and that it's secondary uses (meaning the things the gun does outside of active engagements) force entire matches into specific limited subsets of strategies and tactics. That creates a limited PvP experience whenever the gun is present. No gun with DoT should be part of the game's PvP, especially because the DoT is virtually infinite and, therefore, can zone players at will without reprieve. Starting now, I will ignore anyone whose post demonstrates that they haven't read this.

2 RepliesThorn is fine the way it is. In year 1 where it should rot. Anyone that says they want it year 2 just sucks and needs a crutch. Like most of the players on this forum. GIT GUD SCRUBS.

11 RepliesThorn is suppose to create a different play style. If you are getting hit with Thorn, you're gonna wanna escape from that weapon and the wielder, and run off and hide. That's the point of the gun. Last Word is an aggressive playing style, where you just go straight for the person. Thorn is meant to drive people off, and make them play a bit smarter. Thorn should be able to keep its burn, since that's its thing, and that's what it does. My proposal is so that, when it stacks up, it won't kill EVERYONE in 3 shots no matter what. A handcannon in Thorn's tier is a 3 shot headshot, and 4 shot bodyshot. By decreasing the burn to 2 instead of 3, its burn does less damage, thus only killing lower armored players (half-a little less than half) with the burn, but not quite killing off higher armored players (half-more than half). It still keeps Thorn special while getting rid of that pesky 3 shot-no-matter-what.

If ur not skilled enough to -blam!- people using the thorn, then there's something wrong with ur strategy. Let's just analyze this. Thorn-Y1:170 light. All year 2 weapons r beyond 170. Thoughts???

Please actually get skill and learn to outplay them. Thank you.
