This is why I hate playing banner with a team of randoms. There should be a rule that if you pick up the heavy without waiting, you explode every time you fire your rocket launcher/machine gun. That would be funny to see. I understand if the other team is rushing the heavy but it's usually little selfish only child bastards who don't understand the concept of sharing.
Edit*
It's great to see so many decent people who understand the concept of the point I was trying to make. All the other guys who think waiting 3 seconds for the heavy makes you weak, have a lot to learn about team play.
Edit Again*
Can I just say when I use the term nobs, it's actually a word that means dicks in the UK haha
-
Hey buddy I completely understand that. Waiting 3 seconds is the difference between winning by 2k points and losing my 2k points
-
3 RepliesPeople doing this make comebacks super difficult too.
-
I get what you are saying. Even if you are in a 3 or 4 man fireteam you can still get that 1 idiot who sits at the heavy and gets it as soon as it comes in.
-
1 ReplyOr: Nobs who wait there forever until the other team gets there to rocket the shit out of you. Don't wait in 6v6
-
4 RepliesNobs means the same in the US, except it has a k... Knobs

1 ReplyThanks for this post; I had no idea until I read this. I just started in January after a few years of no gaming at all I'm starting back up. This is why I read the forums.

Drives me crazy!
-
Bump. Waiting (unless getting pressed and risking enemy heavy) is just the polite thing to do.
-
Screw waiting for everyone, if your not there when i grab the heavy then your S.O.L.
-
I always wait unless I see red on the radar.
-
Shut up Meg
-
I hate it too... But unless the enemy has FoH going down on a bubble I made so they can get heavy, PICK IT THE HELL UP.

Edited by Krieghund69: 2/29/2016 11:25:34 PMNoobs that expect the whole team to wait for them to show up at the heavy ammo and be bait for a nova bomb, Titan smash etc...
-
3 RepliesI'm fine if people do it to me, why? Well, first, because it's a game. Second, because I'm not a bitch who relies on heavy to save my round like everyone else. And third, because I didn't earn it, I didn't make it in time, therefore, I dont deserve it.
-
I've been stood right by heavy when opened and everyone collects it and I get fook all! Wtf's that about lol but yeah your point is more annoying lol
-
Only time I grab Heavy without any teammates around is when enemies are closer than allies, and that's to cut the enemies off from it. Often times, I'll let it sit there until either allies show up, or I see red on my radar and it's kinda close.

2 RepliesNobs who can't get to heavy before it drops
-
1 ReplyReally boils my piss. If it happens to me I just suicide for 2 mins or sit down
-
Just as others have said, I'll wait as long as I can until I see red on the radar. The frustration comes from a teammate who can/should clearly see blues approaching and still grabs it early. I got to watch some noob grab the heavy on the outside of the black garden map, denying me and another, only to fail his floof up to the second level and drop to his death. Very pissed at the time but it was pretty funny. I don't do the whole "master race/class" crap but it's a major reason I love my jumpy Hunter.

Edited by Guff09: 2/29/2016 9:21:07 PMInteresting topic for sure. It's like sociology/psychology of a virtual world, haha! I think that if you have the time to wait you should wait. If you see your teammates running towards the box you should especially wait as it will be helpful for the whole team in the end. However, I don't think it should be a formalized norm of destiny crucible to wait to pickup the heavy ammo box. There is too much risk involved. After all, you don't want the other team coming in to take the heavy ammo or even risking it for that matter. In the end it should not be expected to wait but it should be something all players consider because it can help the team
-
That sucks. Waiting 5 minutes for your team to arrive at heavy from idling 20 feet away when they all know that heavy spawns at 9:00 also sucks. It sucks even more when your team gets wiped by smart enemy rocketeers who rush the opposing heavy and take advantage of heavyphobia. I'm not saying taking the heavy when nobody is around is the best choice, but sometimes that person who pulls heavy needs to decide that one or two people having heavy ammo is better than nobody having heavy ammo.

1 ReplyAs long as there is no red on the radar everyone should wait for as many teammates to get there as possible. If there is red on the radar you grab it and run because that enemy probably has a super. I always wait unless there is red on the radar. I think about 3 times during iron banner one single player grabbed the heavy with no enemies near by and several teammates including myself were not quite close enough to get any. Usually ends up costing my team the win. Idiots can't wait 3-5 seconds for some teammates. I imagine/hope those are the 12 year old kinder guardians.

I got 5 kills with 1 rocket on Blind Watch that way. During this last IB. I took ours immediately and caught them slipping. I chuckled.
-
Take it and live or wait and die. Some times even giving to other team, it's coin toss I think.
-
Bro...this happens to me so often. I went three or four rounds straight without heavy yesterday. There was no pressure, no enemies on radar, and people just pop it. It's crazy. I never pop it unless I'm near it and I see red on my radar.
