Sniping is beyond a joke.
Look at your stats bungie. 1k stare is so overused it's unbelievable. The thing is I don't know if this problem has a solution. You obviously see that it's a problem. Come up with a solution or the crucible is gonna be sniper only soon

I also have no idea what's you talking about snipers only, since iron banner has started I have seen 10x as many shot guns as snipers.

I don't use snipers. I still get by using a shotty, mida or tlaloc.

Make the high impact snipers bolt action, and make the bolting require to scope out.

I personally think a possible solution would be to make it so you can't aim down the scope of you're being hit. Kind of like in halo 5, when you're getting hit it'll take you out of the scope. If I'm shooting you in the face with a handcannon you shouldn't be able to look down a scope lol. Target acquisition is another thing. There's absolutely no way people are always hitting those head shots.

1 ReplySnipers do not need nerfed. You will still be shot. Let me explain why there are so many right now. When I'm being hit by a primary either close or at a fair distance. I have time to make a sandwich and walk my dog to switch to a sniper and make the shot. My shield doesn't break fast. I don't die in a respectable time quick enough to not switch and make the shot. Because of this. Things are heavily unbalanced. Kill time just isn't quick enough on primaries to take down a sniper before you get taken out. Every patch has been made because of players complaints to nerf. Right now the nerfing has gone to far. Players need to demand for buffs.

Edited by Unknown: 2/24/2016 8:32:31 PMPpl would go back to shotguns if they removed the nerf on movement speed, not everyone wants to use party crashed and conspiracy theory just to compensate the lack of distance since it's hard closing in when maneuvering or flanking! Don't forget the nerfs on fusion rifles and they can hardly even one shot anymore!

Yeah, clearly snipers can be easy mode for decent players and turn amazing players into crucible stomping gods. But in most situations, if a sniper is scoping you, don't even give them a second to find your head. Stay mobile, jump, run. You'll get killed sometimes and you'll get away sometimes. It's just how the meta goes right now and yes it can be frustrating. However, it's the close to medium range insta head shots that drive me nuts. I was just playing iron banner and came charging around a corner and found myself just out of melee range with a sniper. Boom headshot, insta death. Scenarios like this happe way too often. It's not what snipers weren't meant to do. They've not only replaced primaries for a lot of guardians, but they've become the go to weapon for all situations. That's what gets me annoyed about snipers. They can make some matches boring and frustrating and give you no chance to compete unless you pick up a sniper too.

I've got the same opinion on this situation. I've decided every game I play, if I get sniped, I'm going to just sit. I'll accumulate medallions and get carried. I'm not going to frustrate myself over being sniped every time it's not worth it anymore.

People are using a good weapon? Say what? We can't have good weapons in the game. Nerf everything that shoots bullets.

2 RepliesAll they need to do is make the hit box just as big as the head of the enemy, I've seen videos of players getting kills with snipers when the reticle was way off the head.

Snipers arent the problem. The problem is that all other weapons have been nerfed to oblivion leaving only a couple of weapons that are still competitive. If you buffed shotguns and returned them to HoW era effectiveness, then you would have far fewer people crying about getting quickscoped at 6 feet by a half-way skilled sniper.

Nothing against snipers, but it completely kills the game mode. It stamps all over any other playing style. Personally I find it super boring and pointless.
