Such a classy move on their part to make matchmaking for all an OPTION.
They understand people have constraints and aren't all friend loaded twitch streamers who's friend list have no jobs, kids or the like.
Also, they're making the game for the players. Not for the friend loaded dev teams.
Bungie refuse to admit they -blam!-ed up massively by halting progress to those with limited resources. Simply refuse to admit or remedy it.
Bye bungie.

2 RepliesWell guys this one guy is leaving so I guess the whole game is over, lol
-
I played the beta. Loved it. Wont be long!
-
2 RepliesI played both closed and open beta's of the division, I'm actually quite impressed with it and will be hanging up my Armamentarium for a few weeks for sure, I've played many many hours on Destiny and have to say the game owes me nothing and on the whole I would say it's the best game I have ever played. Graphically beautiful and great gun mechanics, but it also has to be said that in my opinion Destiny has lost its way particularly since TTK dropped and become more of a chore each time I login to play, the enjoyment is slowly waning away. Yes I will be back to Destiny like a shot for some new fresh content particularly where PvE is concerned, but if the grind, loot rng, time gating and Bungies ridiculous stance on not being entirely open to their player base has not changed then i shall probably call it a day, Destiny has so much to offer if managed correctly by its creators and publishers and will go down in history as one of the best games ever published but the flip side of that is it will also go down in other developers handbooks as how not to treat your player base. Yes I'm looking forward to The Division but it has got some big boots to fill, will it fulfil its promise? Who knows, only time will tell.

The division looks really good....not gonna lie
-
Like. I think you just posted something I've felt for almost 2 years now, but didn't know exactly how to explain it. You nailed it.

ONE FRIGGIN' WEEK *has heart attack*
-
31 RepliesWhy The Division, though? That's my question. I mean, everything I saw in the beta just screams "I'm a generic, soulless game for PvE players and a PvP gankfest, buy my into hype and especially DLC". AKA Destiny 2.0, with even less inspiration. You fools...always buying into the hype.

1 ReplyPoint being bungie still refuse to relax the grip on people with limited time but want to play their game. While other games simply give you the option to find people to have fun with and add to your regular friends list. But I'm glad everyone here is happy there's no help for people who can't log in- raid - profit. Everyone who doesn't have that luxury will move on. And that's an enormous amount of potential buyers.

36 Replies*checks self* Has kids: check. Has a full time salaried job that can make me work irregular hours at times: check. Spends time with wife and kids regularly: check. Has a friends list for destiny that allows me to do raids and any other activity just about any time I want: check. Makes one or two new friends weekly when doing Sherpa raid runs: check. Not a twitch streamer: check. Maybe it's you.

13 RepliesCant wait to leave this trash(: one of the only multiplayers where bad kids can get lucky. Games like division or halo the skilled player always wins cause its actually competitive.
-
You're leaving Destiny for The Division because The Division has Matchamking? Bahahaahahhaahhahahahahaaha

7 RepliesThis may have been an issue in 2014 it's not an issue in 2016. There are now a million ways for a casual to match make in Destiny.
-
-
-
They have the same amount of matchmaking though. They match make for storey missions and dark zone. Destiny matchmakes for crucible and strikes plus a few more activities. They haven't even confirmed an endgame pve activities or whether it will hive matchmaking. Plus the mechanics in a third person shooter without jumps are far easier than Destiny mechanics.
-
Well said. Totally agree
-
I actually agree and have no preconceived bias towards the argument as I have quite a few friends I play with. Fireteam matchmaking should be optional

3 RepliesEdited by TerminatorZ919: 2/24/2016 1:02:49 AM-blam!-ing bump my friend! Some people have said that they have no problem finding players in destiny. But here's the funny part. LFG. It's not in the game. It's a 3rd PARTY source. It's funny how brain dead some of the people are on these forums. I hope the division does well.

I'm very excited to play division I'm kind of new to shooter games and I'm pretty good at destiny so I'm excited to play it when it comes out the beta was a lot of fun
-
Every multiplayer game out supports matchmaking as far back as last hen consoles. Except for Destiny.
-
I don't know if through matchmaking, but a way you definitely make friends is the proximity chat in the dark zone.
