The person uaing the sword must have been moving at a snail pace when he has the block up...... Tip: don't stand there like a tool shooting at someone advancing on you with a melee weapon. We have lost real wars when guns were used against people toting spears and axes because of this exact damn reason. Except in real life you can't bunny hop/strafe backwards like a superhuman. No excuses.
