PVP players are fools.
Destiny was highly promoted as a MMO/sandbox co-op PVE game. People didn't even know PVP was an option.
PVE and MMO players flocked to the game. Sadly, unlike other MMO-like games, Destiny did not offer enough content to keep players busy until the next DLC or release.
So slowly PVE players started moving on to other games leaving behind the toxic PVP community to its Crucible.
If you primarily started playing Destiny because you believe it's a good PVP game, you're a fool. There are much better FPS PVP games available. Destiny wasn't even advertised for its PVP play. Watch the original E3 trailer.
I still hold out some hope Destiny 2 will center around PVE and we get the game we all inspire Destiny to be.

They're not going to invest in more PVE, that's short sighted. They made their profit on the game and are focused on#2. PVP is their bread and butter right now, for good reason, the strength of the game is the FPS. Why is silver a viable revenue stream? Because people love to express themselves after a kill in crucible. They'll do a little bit to keep some PVP folks engaged for another year and move on to destiny 2,and I don't blame them. My money on destiny was money well spent.

Please, stop lumping all players into a single group. If anything blame Bungie for A. Not including much content at launch then basically undoing every good thing accomplished with expansions 1 and 2 with TTK, leaving PvE players out to dry. (All gear useless, half of exotics time gated, many others still locked, 2 of 3 raids irrelevant, POE irrelevant) B. Actually listening to those who whine, therefore justifying those complaints in the eyes of those who endlessly complained in the first place. You see, Bungie (and other developers who frequently "balance" their games) basically reinforce that behavior by acting on every little issue. There's a big difference between fixing issues and just needlessly toying with the game's weapons and characters. I miss Suros, the Vex, fatebringer, Gjally, The last word, shot package shotguns, fusion rifles... arc blade actually being good, blink.... There's a ton of people who never wanted all the nerfs, so just do yourself a favor and take the blame up with the real culprit here- Bungie.

The fps pvp players are going to buy the game regardless of the pve. But the mmo rpg fanbase wouldn't. No reason to try to sell to the locked in group. That's why there's piles of pve content, and only 7 pvp playlists. Catering to pvp is what keeps them here. Devs don't expect ppl to hit the pve as repeatedly as this community does. And even when they do, its not as consistent as pvp. All games die in time for there successor. Pve burns out. PvP fades away. It's that simple.

Also, if you watch the E3 reveal, most of that shit is in the game. Albeit not how it was presented. However, since when are ViDocs ever perfect representations of final products? In short, [i]Destiny was [u][b]always[/b][/u] known to have a PvP.[/i] It wasn't put into the ViDocs for one reason; "Oh, look! Another FPS..." Destiny's entire advertising campaign was extremely vague with 'splosions and space magic everywhere. All of us knew that a "competitive" multiplayer experience was going to be part of the experience. How are we fools? Game preference is subjective and the only fools here are the people like you who seem to think that their opinions are factual. I play Destiny's Crucible for its fantastic gunplay, fun multiplayer action and the cool exotics. Is it unbalanced? Sure. Have there been connectivity problems as of late? Most definitely. Are some of the supers broken? Yea. However, do you want to know the difference between Destiny and games like CS:GO, Call of Duty and even Battlefield? I find Destiny fun. There's room to improve. That's painfully obvious, but I'm not a fool for liking something that you're not all that in to. I don't play this game for Recon ||B. I play this game for me, and I have a great time doing so.

As a pve game its extremely boring, repetitive p.o.s with no content. PvP is the only thing that holds the game. PvP is the only fun thing that left.

For you to call people a fool for thinking its a good PVP game is blatant ignorance. If you dont like it then good for you. On another note, Destiny has really good PVE, just NOT ENOUGH to last.
