3 RepliesYou are being naive and ignoring the hard to accept fact that in life not everyone can win and someone will always benefit at the expense of another. Its quite simple, results are the only thing that matter in life and burger flipping does not really create any hard to produce results.

1 ReplyIs it just me or should minimum wage be a local issue? The cost of living in Texas versus in California is so different it's not even comparable. Of course you can't live off 8$/hour in California but in Texas that seems like plenty.

13 Replies15/hr to work at mcdonalds? This world really is going down the toilet. If a 7 year old can do your job, its not a real job.

I think everyone has the right to a home, food and other necessities. You still CANNOT cut the pay of top earners in order to raise the wages of the low earners. Even if the top earner in question only is there because of being the son of someone important. The only way to solve this issue is to pay enough on the bottom rungs to have a life. Not a decent one for sure, but you will have a home and food. You will not be able to build a family. It sounds cruel, but i think this is what capitalism was meant to be. Those who work hard or are lucky end up in the top. If you want to change something, go into politics, and see things from the other side.

Exactly. Sad thing now is when we increase wage product value goes higher. Good thing for me is I cook at home.

6 RepliesJust because some of us only have the option to work any minimum wage job, no matter if it is at fast food or retail, doesn't mean we don't deserve to at least live a little better than paycheck to paycheck.

3 RepliesITT - idiots who think that minimum wage is somehow directly tied to fast food servers exclusively.

2 RepliesRight now 90% of the wealth in the world is owned by the top 1% of people. If you don't think that's a problem you're one of two things: in that 1% or an idiot.

21 RepliesCapitalism is hilarious. The richest people write the laws, hand down their wealth and convince everyone else to fight over the crumbs. Europe is starting to phase out Capitalism, but America is still retarded.

3 RepliesEdited by Pyrowo1f: 2/3/2016 10:01:10 PMIf you earn an equal wage for being a paramedic as you do for working at a fast food restaurant or any other "unskilled" labor, who is going to want to be a paramedic? That's a lot of effort for pay you could get for less effort. Oh? Raise the wage of paramedics to encourage some people to become one? Ok. Now you've got skilled labor paying more. Excellent. All the workers have more money. "More money in the system?" The owner of any given good or service asks. "Good! We can raise prices!" Now prices are increased. And now the people doing the "unskilled" jobs are right back where they were before minimum wage was increased. Should we increase it again at that point?
