And many more, destiny's first REAL competitor is going to blow it out of the water on March 8, 2016.
Tom Clancys The Divison
Feel free to google any of the above websites articles on The Division. They all say the same thing. Though destiny in its final form is a good game, it will be dethroned by The Division in every category possible. Gameplay, graphics, story, MMORPG, and the new mechanics it will have that destiny does not.
I loved destiny for a long time, but when the game is more of a grind than WoW, and each WAY overpriced DLC releases the previous WAY overpriced DLC is never played again because the names of the game decided it was best to make all its rewards irrelevant and therefore undesirable to play, all the PVE glitches and PVP lag and cheats, it's just not as replay able as it once was.
I've logged close to 1,000 hours, but I haven't played more than 30minutes a week in months.
The Division will be a new era. The first competitor in the new game genre that destiny has created. And everyone from alpha to early beta testers and all the interviews in between are saying this game will blow destiny away.
I'm a destiny day one player, but I'm excited to replace destiny with a game to dump all my hours into again.
Read spoiler to see a quote from bungie employee about how they AGREE that destiny will die!!
In December 2015, Bungie community manager Eric Osborne addressed concerns there "won't be any more substantial content until [the studio ships] another full game, or that all of the content for the rest of Year Two will come in the form of timed events."
Also, from the same article:
The release schedule indicated a new entry in the series would be launched in September 2016, but this is no longer the case according to a report from Kotaku. Citing sources "familiar with goings-on at the studio," the site reports "plans for Destiny's future are constantly in flux" and "just last week higher-ups at Bungie delayed Destiny 2 out of this September."
So there you have it. Bungie themselves have no plans to expand their already dying game. And the division, the FIRST game actually in the category/game genre as destiny (unlike fallout, cod, battlefront, etc.), comes out in just a month and some days. Everyone get hyped. Bungie gave a reason to get off their train, and Ubisoft is giving us a new boarding pass. :)
Also, Xbox1 Master Race FTW so... Yeah.

8 RepliesWhen has a tom Clancy game ever stayed around in popularity for more than like a month on a large scale. I'll believe it when I see it buddy. Till then go whack off to your other games somewhere else.
-
3 RepliesHacking the division, destiny will die hahahaha
-
-
I give it a Month. Then you all come crawling back
-
The real question is whether The Division will last a year.
-
The graphics look bang average to me and the third person view is horrendous, really kills immersion
-
1 ReplyI prefer the apples over the oranges
-
The Division looks dull and bland l, and we can't forget the biggest deal breaker it's a TPS
-
The division is great and yes it has exploits it's a beta name game that doesn't have bugs in the early stages ie unlimited shadow shot unlimited hammers.... The one thing that the division won't be able to take away from destiny is the true PVP players unless the division can incorporate a team death match style PvP playlist or game play that has agent v agent that's not in its current form a true PvP experience people will continue to play destiny this generation of gamers need that competition needs to keep score and have a victor... You die in the division nobody cares just respawn and collect more loot

1 ReplyBungie is doing a fantastic job at killing Destiny. They must be really hell-bent on being the first AAA company to actively sabotage their own game... Such a waste on what could have been a great game.
-
Division will be exploitable
-
Bungie has already hurt destiny enough I'm surprised that an assault charge hasn't been placed due to the beatings it's been getting latley. THE DIVISION HAS DEDICATED SERVERS!!
-
28 RepliesTrue, it's mainly the year one garbage who defend this game. Damn try hard sweaty beta players go to such hilarious lengths to explain why destiny is so great. Disgusting
-
4 RepliesSee, you had me interested in what you hade to say. But then you went and -blam!-ed up with the Xbox masterace. See the game looks like garbage on that system compared to Ps4. And Ps4 looks like trash compared to optimal pc settings. Now I have all 3 Pc PS4 and Xbox one, there is no way in hell, I'd put the Division in an Xbox. The game is to good for it.
-
For 60 dollars the division has so much more to offer.
-
Edited by Redguywins: 2/2/2016 1:57:56 AMWas gonna like... but Xbox master race? Why are you alienating ppl that at the same time you want their support? I play both consoles so...
who cares?! goes back to Monster Hunter 4 on DS
1 ReplyI don't think destiny will die there are too many sweaty gay men that will still continue to play this game. Destiny promoted gay night so now they're all in love.
-
The Division isn't going to kill Destiny. Destiny has been dying for a while now, no game is going to steal the fan base away over night, it will slowly just fade into non-existence.
-
Destiny is gonna kill destiny

What a load of rubbish. I'm a huge division fan and will be playing it, and I myself have grown jaded with destiny also but let's straighten this up a bit -The division is a completely different game. Completely!! Its an over the shoulder rpg using cover to cover mechanics. Absolutely no similarities to the current form of destiny apart from 1........ -The division will have grinding, lots of it! It's following the shooter looter form and rng will be a massive part of it. -Destiny may lose players for a while but they knew that. The content lull is timed to coincide with this. This is a great year for the player with so many great games to come and not forgetting the already released COD and Battlefront (pretty sure destiny was supposed to die when they came out too), activision knew holding a players attention was gonna be difficult hence the much hated refer a friend. We've already paid for the game, and guess what, activision already have the money, they don't care what we play now. They aren't trying to sell us any dlc, they are good now until destiny 2 is ready. (And chances are we will play it no matter what we say now) -And finally I don't own an X box so I'm not 100% sure how it works, my ps4 however is designed to play more than one game. Mental right? Imagine a world where you can play Iron banner this week, play the COD dlc next week, some battlefront with friends at the weekend then maybe the new Lego game. Its amazing, I might not play destiny again until the next IB, I might raid next week but having the division won't stop me playing other games when my mood suits.

2 RepliesEdited by Ceramic_Knight1: 2/2/2016 2:07:53 AMI guess when you consider they copied the interface from Bungie them it could be a competitor. Now all they have to do is claim they made it and sue Bungie. Then they'll be the new Apple of the gaming industry. These "going to kill Destiny" threads are funny. You wasted so much time for something so stupid and you're still wrong. The Division is good from what I've played so I'm not going to hate on it but its not going to kill anything. Some will flock to it, some will come back. Others will stay. That's how it works. By the OP's logic, Sonic killed Mario.

2 RepliesI feel a disturbance in the gaming universe..... that a game will fail
-
1 ReplyWatched a lot of the division gameplay and have no intention on buying it, will still be on destiny march 9th
