Why do so many people lie about being from the beginning?
Edit: Just to clarify, I am asking why do people obviously lie about being a day 1 player when it really doesn't matter. No one really cares about when you got the game
I always hear so many people talking about how
"I've played since beta/alpha"
Or
"I've had the game since week 1"
Cause seriously, only about 10% of destiny players are from day 1 and only 20% of them, at most, are still playing now
Edit: I just searched this up. Out of the 30 million people who bought destiny only 5 million bought it in the first MONTH, not day (16.6%) if you remove the people who bought it later in the month I bet it would equal about 10% of all players
I am going to be the first to say that I have NOT played since beta and I am in fact an Xmas Noob (Y1)
If you're a true day 1 player then put on your founders emblem/sign of the elders or your frontier ghost shell then I'll believe you

Emblem on my warlock. Not sure which of the three prove I was here at the beta so i just put on my favorite.

I too have been playing sense realese. I didn't play the beta cause I didn't like the idea of a halo type game coming to ps4. But was I wrong lol. After watching a friend play I got hooked and here I am still an OG player. But I don't hate on noobs or Xmas players. We're all the same just different times.

1 ReplyI came in 2 weeks after it dropped, but for ease I say day 1 because I went through all the crap day one players had to go through, like legendary engrams decoding into blues, the heavy ammo glitch that took half your ammo when you died etc.

Alpha, beta, and first day. However, I took a break at the start of How and recently came back.

At first I wasn't interested as who would want "bungielands" played the beta and really liked it, bought the full game on release.

I am a day one player.. Off and on. My hours and grimoire don't show it. Neither do my stats. The shader says otherwise on my hunter. I think I have the founders emblem on my warlock. I don't really care though. I took time to play other games when I got bored and came back. It happens. Just wish people would realize there's other games to play instead of bitch.

Played Alpha, Beta, and preordered Digital copy of Vanilla and the DLC pass. Frontier shell was only for people that ordered the collectors edition. I do have the emblems, but only in the kiosk since I never use them. Needed the inventory room so I deleted them from my characters. My warlocks story history shows I played the first story mission on 9/9/2014.

Day 1 player. Can't be bothered to go and get the emblem from the kiosk. 4600+ grimoire score should prove it.

Founders emblem is my favourite one ;D Love putting it on, everyone is always like. "where do u get that?!" lol just wish my xbox bungie account wouldve linked properly with my PS4 login, woulve had a little more content that I deserved.

bought i one day before official release - still here but not proud of it - why - because the game is getting boring - mass effect like other games...nothing special atm
