Why do so many people lie about being from the beginning?
Edit: Just to clarify, I am asking why do people obviously lie about being a day 1 player when it really doesn't matter. No one really cares about when you got the game
I always hear so many people talking about how
"I've played since beta/alpha"
Or
"I've had the game since week 1"
Cause seriously, only about 10% of destiny players are from day 1 and only 20% of them, at most, are still playing now
Edit: I just searched this up. Out of the 30 million people who bought destiny only 5 million bought it in the first MONTH, not day (16.6%) if you remove the people who bought it later in the month I bet it would equal about 10% of all players
I am going to be the first to say that I have NOT played since beta and I am in fact an Xmas Noob (Y1)
If you're a true day 1 player then put on your founders emblem/sign of the elders or your frontier ghost shell then I'll believe you

I'm a day 1 player, got achievements fated on my console to prove it. I believe I also have those emblems, but I'd have to look which character they're on. I do have a supremacy still on my warlock though, not day 1 but I still think it's a good status symbol.

I'm a beta player but switched from Xbox 360 to ps4 around June. If you don't believe me type in my name. Still have vanilla gear equipped lol. Also just knowing about the Shingen C mets kinda proves I played the beta.
