Well I always lose half my health (usually more) to smoke bombs that are well placed since once someone throws it at you, if you're caught in the opening explosion then you're stuck moving slow trying to get out (causing you to take more damage).
Now thunderstrike is the special move of stormcallers just as smoke bombs are the special move of nightstalkers. If you don't like it when they kill you (or in the case of smoke bombs, cause u to get killed) then it sucks to suck. I personally hate smoke bombs and would rather get killed by an extended melee but meh. We all have something we hate dying to

A) I didn't insult your skill level and in no way implied you were bad. Do not try it on me. B) the reason the smoke and knife are okay with their damage numbers is because once you press the button, the charge is used, whether you hit someone or not. You can't seriously think a stronger melee, with even more range on top of the furthest range melee, should be able to do the same amount of damage when you literally can't miss with it, can you?

I understand you weren't trying to insult my skill level, I was not trying to elude to that at all in my typing, sorry if it seemed that way (sincere apology, hard to expression emotion) This is just my opinion, both special melees have their perks and cons, smoke bomb can be thrown further but uses up a charge. And the melee is limited to a certain range (yes the range is far, but IMO I think it's fine) but doesn't use up a charge if you were to accidentally press the button to use it. We all have opinions, I'm curious to see if someone made a poll or not about the stormcallers melee being too far

Edited by NobodyJustBrad: 1/8/2016 8:17:00 PMI'm sure there's a poll for everything on here. Lol. Bungie said warlocks are in their sights next. If I had to guess what will happen, I think voidwalker will get a small change like defender did, sunsinger will have the perks restructured, and stormcaller will get nerfed somehow, likely involving the duration of Stormtrance at the least. That's my prediction. [spoiler]This is what made it sound like you were trying to insult me. I think bungie has always hated warlocks...idk if you're a day one player, but true day one players will remember the age of voidfang vestments when xur sold voidfang vestments so many times for warlocks...so...many...times

I didn't touch warlocks until right before HoW came out. But didn't he sell Sunbreakers like 9 times out of 10?

I remember those days like it was yesterday....*dream music* + *flashback* I go to see xur with a bright smile on my face, and just enough strange coins to buy something....and that smile disappeared real quick when I saw voidfang vestments. Don't worry, if you didn't buy voidfang vestments the last 12 times he sold it, here's your chance to get it again! He sold sunbreakers like twice and light beyond nemesis maybe once...the rest were voidfang if I recall correctly. Very depressing times to be a warlock
