If you use this gun you have absolutely no skill, there is no argument you can make convincing me other wise.
Because
-simply looking at your target and firing
takes no skill at all.
-rusher tactics
-cannot out shoot this gun merely trade kills WITH HEAVY MACHINE GUNS ONLY
-supposed to be close range yet has more range than every fusion rifle
-combine with blink to decrease skill needed
Oh and having used it a few times its very obvious this gun should never have existed. Killing a striker with unstoppable on with it? Ok, that will cause some salt.
Bungie what in the hell were you thinking when you made this basically primary 8 shot heavy weapon?
Suggestions to make this gun a little more balanced:
-make the people that use it have to zoom in to have increased range and impact, so that way they move slower when you are trying to shoot them.
-decrease rate of fire slightly
-take out the perks that give increase range i seems to have plenty of that with its exotic perk
-Decrease stability, suros regime bounces around more with MORE stability.
-Decrease impact slightly so you need another bullet or two to kill someone. (You reload after each kill anyway)
Any other last word nerf/balance related suggestions?
Edit; my guns that i use have nothing to do with this bringing them up just tells me you are defending ttl.
Edit number2; there is a difference between looking around and aiming for those people who don't know what the zoom in button does. Seriously 90% of the replies are this.
Edit number 3; i think Magicraft1 nailed this perfectly.
It really annoys me, as the gun is one of the coolest ones in the game, and yet, it's always over-powered or underwhelming in the Meta... Bungie needs to work on its weapon balancing skills
Dude stop whineing about it they already nerfed it you baby!

If crucible is competitive and the goal is to win, wouldn't you like to have the best weapons to potentially secure a victory? I like to win so therefore I use the guns that perform better than any others.
-
I don't see all the hype with tlw....I am horrible with that gun lol
-
I use tlw blink 1000yd stare and a heavy my or rocket with horseshoe idgaf what you say like all meta's there's always the one gun so far this meta happens to be tlw and mida stop complaining and wait for the Nerf and then you will see another meta which you may complain about as well but people like you are always whiners
-
It is definitely more powerful after 2.1 but is nothing like what it used to be in year 1.
-
It's so overpowered. Anyone trying to defend their crutch just doesn't want to see it go bye bye. I love TLW but my goodness is it annoying to get mowed down in a primary 1v1 and you didn't do nearly any damage to him mid range to find out its TLW that killed you in half a second.

Edited by lanthanien: 1/9/2016 3:24:04 PM"SIMPLY LOOKING AT YOUR TARGET AND FIRING" IS AIMING FRIEND Also It's only good if you hip fire At least it isn't year one where you could ads and 2 shot someone from 89284 miles away It's the original 1000 yard stare

Well heres another salty salt dispenser!
-
Hit detection on TLW sucks!!!
-
Idk it's a really good gun but I've unloaded whole clips on someone like right in front of me and hit them with only 1 of the bullets.
-
It's funny before the buff, I was one of the few still using it and ever since the buff, so many have started using it again.
-
Wouldn't making TLW require people to Ads to increase range make it seem like TFC? TLW is focused on hip fire so how about just remove ADS entirely on TLW since people just started using TLW after Bungie buffed accuracy on hand cannons when ADS
-
You should just ask destiny to take a big fat dump on it.
-
1 Reply-20% stability while ADS. It's supposed to be hip fired.

5 RepliesI have no skill I have no skill I have no skill I have no skill I have no skill I have no skill I have no skill MAN I LOVE TLW! Oh I almost forgot, I'm a scrub because I use a fantasy weapon from a video game like TLW. I'm a big piece of trash scrub...oh yeah!

Where is Butthurt when you need him?

Use what you want

When I got my thorn a friend told me not to let it become a crutch. It's easy to only use that weapon and get into a habit with it. So I switched to the last word (this was during vanilla Destiny) and enjoyed using it until I realized that I was using it so much that it was becoming a habit. When I got my first thorn I didn't have a void primary and had to get the kills with special and heavy. When the Atheon's Epilogue dropped for me in VOG I decided to go for another just to see if it would go faster with a void primary. It completely changed my play style. Ever since then I've learned to switch up my load out. It's a good idea- you never know what's going to get nerfed next.

Coming from the guy that uses invective as his primary

2 RepliesEdited by The Guardian: 1/9/2016 1:14:15 PMNow looking at someone and firing is a crime? Next, if you ADS with any gun, then you're a fucboi. God I hate this community
-
I used it through the period in which it was not even op, so I have a right to keep using it since it's the gun I'm most used to and the aforementioned proves that I do not ise it because it is op.
-
1 ReplyAlthough I don't use it. My argument would be I really don't care if you think what I'm doing "takes skill" or not. Most people play computer games to enjoy themselves. Not to "increase skill". This what I NEVER understand about these posts.

I've used TLW and he is right... It literally takes no skill. It's a very good gun but promotes very bad habits. Hand cannons is a weapon class that relies heavily on you scoring headshots, similar to snipers. However the fact that TLW can fire so quickly, you can unload a magazine of 8 before you would get 3 shots off with a normal handcannon. There has been instances where I've killed other players with three headshots with the last word and they just couldn't do anything to react. Therefore an reduction in impact is needed. It will mean that body shots mean less and you will have to get closer for shots to achieve maximum damage. The suggestion of aiming is a little ridiculous. The idea of the weapon is replicate the guns which cowboys used in the old West... like all tex mechanica weapons. The First Curse however does emphasise of this idea with aiming so is a less scrubby handcannon. It also appears that The Last Word and 1000-Yard Stare dominate the Meta right now.

Edited by Maniac Survivor: 1/9/2016 1:20:37 PMyes, let the salt go through you ;) But seriously though, I die more by Mida than the last word, pick your engagements wisely.
