Raid is too long
No one has time for that shit and 90% of your players can't beat Oryx. Look at your trophies. Last time I checked the completion trophy for the raid was under 10%. So what your saying is raid content is for the elite only? Half of the people that do have completions it takes 4 hours to do a raid with. I joined a clan thinking that would help and all a clan on this game is just a tag that goes on your emblem as far as these guys are concerned. I received the invite and have never played with a member from my clan.
The raid completion percentage should be at least 50%. 50% of players should be able to complete end game content.
for those of you that say you can finish the raid in under two hours let us see a screenshot
and by the way for all of you saying I'm not good enough look who has all the challenge mode emblems on their characters and the ships. Your argument is invalid. LFG broken. Raid completion percentage should be 20-50%

That's out of everyone that's played the game. A lot have quit since the start of Destiny. I'd say a fair number of the players that are actually active have beaten the raid.

We did an entire Raid up to Oryx and it took us just shy of an hour.. Not a single wipe.. It's the Oryx fight itself that A. Has to be coordinated properly between teammates and B. Destiny the game has to cooperate. We started at 5:30 this morning and by about 6:25 we were on Oryx. We had a few timing mistakes..and then a miscommunication issue during one attempt and then we said to hell with it. The rewards for most of us with the exception of the Warpriest were shitty anyways... The game isn't too hard as long as you have coordination..Timing is the key

The probably isn't the content its people going AFK, leaving, or just not knowing how to count. With a good team I can finish the raid in 50min or less. With most teams people suck and I don't understand how people r so bad.

I'm not trying to talk shit but I know for a fact that I've completed the whole raid atleast 2 or 3 times in under 1 hour and most of the other times it's under 2 or 3 hours. It really isn't that difficult.to complete it in a short amount of time and I always get groups off of lfg so yer

You can pause the raid. You know that right? If you really need to, then do totems this night, then the next night do war priest, the the next night do Golgoroth, then the next night do Oryx. If you don't have all that time then just spread it out, 4 days. Anything about not being able to beat Oryx is on their watch because they couldn't watch like a 5 minute video on how to do it. It's really simple, just need to think about it for a sec.

How TF is LFG broken? I don't even have ToM or use BS and I have three 320's b/c I'm nice and I get invited (just look at my 320 armors on all char except titan b/c dat helmet fun doe) Also use contextual statistics. Try % of players above 280 light. Not the ones below who got TTK and stopped playing after a few days / very casual and not at the 280+ point.

1 ReplyI don't think length or difficulty is really the issue here. To me it's effort vs reward, an the light level system. If rewards were better guaranteed it would be a bigger incentive for a larger part of the community to complete the challenge. After a couple runs an higher light level it gets much easier, reducing the time it takes to complete. When HM released the drops were not worth the effort. This paired with lackluster nightfall rewards an the grueling grind for progress is why I finally decided it was time for a break. It seems challenge mode is helping repair this but the damage was done. A large majority of the people I raided with quit an have not returned. I did a couple raids last week since a friend asked an I was on vacation, including Oryx challenge. We spent a lot of time in the raid, but for a variety of reasons, nothing to do with difficulty or the length.

I couldn't believe the trophy has such a low %, but then again a lot of games are like that where the easy trophies are low % idk.. Maybe ppl don't know/want to use destinylfg, which IS pretty stupid.. there SHOULD be an in game LFG even if it's rudimentary with preset filters like the drop downs on the lfg site, and also have presets/checkboxes for things like "emblems, experienced, etc" Also even if you could type shit with the popup keyboard like u use to message ppl would be fine

I usually get it done in 40-60 minutes with my new raid group.
